Bab 65: Marry an old man?
It's already been 3 days since Kenshin escaped from the bare-chested men that tried to capture him, he was currently eating leopards meat that he caught a while ago and took the old man's house while he buried the old man's skeleton.
Munching on the meat he was eating, Kenshin thought of the man called Khal Drogo and couldn't help but want to recruit him, he felt how powerful Drogo was and the men he was leading were no push-over also.
"I need to awaken my devil fruit first before trying to recruit those men, they aren't the type to follow someone who is weaker than them for sure," Kenshin said to himself as he finished eating and immediately started training on his space manipulation.
While 3 days already passed inside the pocket space, only 1 day passed on the outer world. Hiyori who was training Viola couldn't help but worry about Kenshin, she didn't know what this feeling was but she only wanted to see Kenshin.
She looked at Viola and said, "Izo will be training you today because I'm not feeling well."
Viola who was focusing on hardening her hand looked at Hiyori and nodded her head.
Leaving the flower hill she took out Kenshin's vivre card to see what direction he was at but upon looking at the vivre card a frown appeared on Hiyori's face.
"What's happening? why is the vivre card not moving?"
She stared at the vivre card that wasn't moving and was only laying quietly in her palm, her worry immediately intensified as she hurriedly went back to her room in the castle.
As she entered the room Hiyori opened her drawer and took out a den-den mushi and immediately called Kenshin but the call didn't connect and the den-den mushi made an error sound signifying that they cannot contact the other person.
Worried, Hiyori then dialed another number.
*purururu* *purururu* *purururu*
*Kacha!*
"Well, well, well, it took you this long to call me my lovely daughter?" Whitebeard's voice could be heard coming from the den-den mushi.
Hiyori didn't have time with Whitebeard's cheesy greetings and immediately said, "Pops, Kenshin disappeared! I checked his vivre card and it isn't moving, I also tried calling him earlier but his den-den mushi won't ring."
Whitebeard who was on the other side of the phone became silent, then a long sigh was heard followed by Whitebeard's voice "I can't believe that he already tried to open a portal this early."
'Portal?' Hiyori thought, then she suddenly remembered Kenshin's plan and asked in a worried tone.
"Pops, what happened to Kenshin?!"
Whitebeard who was seated on his deck was already rubbing his glabella and couldn't help but curse Kenshin, he then raised the den-den mushi and explained.
"The space-space fruit is a special fruit because if you managed to awaken the devil fruit you can gain access to a pocket space or a separate dimension, I think that Kenshin failed in opening a portal and was sent to the pocket space and is currently trapped."
Hiyori hearing Whitebeard's explanation sat on the floor completely shocked, she then held the den-den mushi and asked, "How can we save him?"
Whitebeard closed his eyes and replied, "We can't"
Hearing Whitebeard's reply, Hiyori who was already on the verge of crying started sobbing and kept on cursing Kenshin.
"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!"
Whitebeard who heard Hiyori crying felt pain in his heart, he took a deep breath and said, "We can't help him but if he is able to awaken his devil fruit then he will be able to leave the pocket space."
Hiyori was about to speak but Whitebeard cut her off and continued, "Let me remind you that the flow of time in the pocket space is 3 times faster, 3 years inside means 1 year in our world."
"Why didn't you tell him about the pocket space Pops?" Hiyori asked in confusion.
As soon as Hiyori asked that question Whitebeard started sweating, he couldn't tell her that he wanted to teach Kenshin a lesson, and him being trapped inside the pocket space would be a fitting punishment.
"Umm, I forgot to tell him because every time I see his face it makes me want to punch him," Whitebeard replied.
Hiyori rolled her eyes hearing his reply and immediately ended the call, she then sighed in relief knowing that Kenshin was safe and was only trapped inside a pocket space which he could easily get out if he managed to awaken his devil fruit.
"I'll give you 3 years which is 9 years inside, you are already 2 years older than me and I don't want to marry a middle-aged man," Hiyori said as she looked outside the window not worrying if Kenshin can get out because she believes that Kenshin can easily awaken his devil fruit.
Whitebeard who got cut off could only smile wearily, he grabbed his sake and took a huge gulp as he commented silently.
"The space-space fruit will once again resurface into the world,"
