Hans sat in a room while sipping from a teacup that contained whole milk. On a plate in front of him were some treats, such as cookies and cupcakes. Since Hans had saved Veronika from the Grand Duke of Moscow, the Bohemian princess had looked at Hans in a new light. Though there were several years apart between them, with Veronika being in her early teenage years, and Hans being a pre-pubescent child.
