Sue never visited Ian, but she knew his family house. His late father gave her the address when he bought her artwork. She knew that Ian would spend the weekend with his sister in their family house, so she drove there.
At the doorstep, Ian’s sister opened the door to her,
“Hi.” She said with a warm smile, exactly like Ian’s smile.
Sue never met his sister, although Sabine, Ian’s sister, asked him several times to meet Sue. Sue always came up with excuses, and Ian knew that Sue was not a social person, so he never insisted.
Sue smiled back and said, “I guess it is Sabine, right?”
“Yes. Finally, we met Sue. Come in, dear.” Sabine said.
She noticed Sue’s puzzled face, so she added, “Your photos are all around the house, Ian’s phone, and laptop. You are everywhere, Sue. Ian spoke only about you,” she winked.
They went to the living room, and Sabine went to wake Ian up. “He stayed up late yesterday, so he is still sleeping.”
