Bab 41: Chapter 41

“Look, I know I’m not as old as either one of you. But I’m not a baby, I’ve been through more than either of you will ever really realize. One day, maybe you will see what I’m talking about and finally stop treating me like a child,” his sad tone made them feel even worse.

Neivayka opened her mouth to explain everything. However, Theo raised a hand to stop her and shook his head. Apparently, the guilt he felt still wasn’t enough to make him talk.

“Anyway, you better get some rest. We have to start very early to be up at the Temple at a decent time,” Pontius said, sounding even more grown-up than he claimed.

Pontius stood and left the room without a backward glance.

“We should have told him,” Neivayka protested once she was sure he was out of hearing range.

“No, despite his claims, he is still very much a child in his world. He doesn’t need to worry any more than he already is. We did the right thing in not telling him,” Theo insisted.
