"Hearts," said Lesley to Dawn and Katya. "We've been talking about Project Louie for two hours now. There isn't anything we can do until after the Callahans get back from their pilgrimage. Plus, you and Cyrus will be going to Boston right after New Year's. Now, it's almost lunchtime; can't we discuss the party?"

Dawn frowned at Lesley, but then her face softened. "I guess you're right. It would have been nice if Louie was back by then. I just won't be in a party mood."

"Sweetie," said Katya. "I feel that 2038 will usher in better times for all of us. We'll get Louie back, and the two of you will work things out, and we will all go on a triple date. Cyrus and myself, you and Louie, and Lesley and..."she looked at Lesley.

"Come on, Kat, you forgot my boyfriend's name?"

"I seem to be drawing a blank. I'm having a brain fart."
