"So have you think of it?" Chris asked asked as they sat down on a table carrying their tray of food.
"Oh, could you explain more about Alter Online to me" Mark said as he took a bite of the chicken drumstick.
"Okay, But I dont know much about it, and I only heard these things from the Beta Testers, Alter Online is a Vrmmorpg game that was referenced from a game called Survival World Craft, it was a sandbox game and a kingdom building game, the purpose of the game is to become powerful and build your own Empire and climb the place called Heavens Tower" Chris explained.
"Heavens Tower? is it like Aincrad or something?" Mark asked.
He had some basic understanding from some games, anime and stuffs, it was his past time to relieve some stress.
"No, Aincrad only have hundred floors while Heavens Tower doesnt have any limit, that is what I heard" Chris said.
"Oh, Interesting, you said its an Rpg game, then that means we will have class or something?" Mark asked.
"Yup, that is correct, but the Beta Players said, they could only unlock it at level 20" Chris replied.
"Do you know the classes?" Mark asked.
"Unfortunately, other than swordsmen, assassin, mage and guardian, which was released in the beta, no one knew about the other classes but they said there are hundreds of classes from basic to legendary" Chris said.
"Hmm, I understand, by the way, what do you mean earlier by Virtual Realism?" Mark asked.
"Simple, it means the game is comparable to real life, there are some rules but everything is the same as reality" Chris said.
Mark was surprised to hear that a game was comparable to real life, he then turned and look at his hand which is full of calluses.
'Maybe, I could use the things those old people taught me' Mark thought, he then looked at Chris who kept praising the Alter Online.
He really wanted to try what he had learned from the old fogeys but since it was at peace and there is no war, Mark doesnt have anywhere to use what he had learned other than tournaments.
He sighed and after thinking for a while, he gave Chris a reply.
"Okay, I accept, I will work for you, but first, you dont have to pay me, I cant get the Virtual Capsule from you for free, so I will slowly pay it up" Mark said.
He was not a person who likes to take things for free, other than food of course, if he had the chance, he will take it.
Its not a bad thing to want to save more money.
"Good! by the way, if you also found good items in the game but wont use it, you can sell it to me, and I will pay in real money, of course, in their market price" Chris said.
"Deal" Mark and Chris shook hands.
"Now pack your things up, you can live at my house now" Chris said.
"Immediately? when is the Alter Online going to be released?" Mark asked.
"A month later, just after our graduation" Chris said.
"Then w-why do I have to go there immediately?" Mark asked.
"We have a special Training" Chris replied with a sly smirk.
"Okay then, also how about your parents, dont you have to ask for their consent?" Mark asked.
"You dont have to worry about them, they are in Misurn right now" Chris said.
"Misurn? isnt that a planet? and also one of the most richest planet" Mark asked.
Planets have long been inhabited by every beings, as long as its inhabitable, then its already taken.
"Yeah, they are working there right now" Chris said.
"Okay... damn" Mark didnt know what to say anymore, poverty limits his imagination.
"Anyway, lets go pick up your things after school" Chris said.
"Okay" Mark nodded
After they finished eating their lunch, they returned back to their class and went as usual, Mark didnt really have to listen attentively to the teacher, since he could easily do multi-task.
He sneakily took out his old phone that he has been using for the last 10 years, and did some research about Alter Online.
It was an official job so he had to take it seriously.
Anyway, the first thing Mark checked out was the equipment, the Virtual Capsule is a machine that has been created just this january, it was a machine that connects with the brain nerves of the person.
It was 100% safe according to the Universal Safety government, and Universal Security government, with those verifications then Mark was sure that the machine was really 100% safe.
He then checked the other description about the Virtual capsule.
Virtual Capsule have 98% synchronization rate, that meant it was really comparable to reality, just a little bit of delay.
It could also allow for a player to stay in the game for about 12 hours.
There was also cheaper ones called Virtual Gear Helmet which is cheaper and they have about 90% synchronization rate, also the play time was lesser than the Virtual Capsule as it only have 7 hours of gameplay.
Even though Mark called it cheap, it was million years away from the money he have.
Mark also started taking notes from the information he got from searching around, but he didnt really need to do that since he have great memory but Mark prefer doing this so he could brainstorm ideas.
He also found forums about the experience of the beta players, some tips and guidance, he took all of them.
It didnt take long for the class to end, Chris immediately pulled Mark and ran out, he was clearly excited.
While Chris was pulling Mark, Mark could not help but notice Chris's skin was very smooth, it was comparable to a females hand but Mark could not confirm it since he never really studied women and never got into contact with them.
They are very strange and complicated creatures, Mark tried to study women once but he gave up after a year because it was really not fruitful.
He needed to study 100 different women and the results were very different, unlike men who almost had the same pattern.
Anyway, Mark didnt think about it much as they reached a black luxurious car, and Chris threw Mark inside.
Chris sat on the drivers seat and Mark who was thrown beside was beside him.
*Vroom!
The sound of the engine roaring resounded on their ears and Chris skillfully maneuvered the car and went to the orphanage.
It took only a few minutes for them to reach the Orphanage, Mark then talked with the matron about his new 'job' and that he will live with his boss.
The Matron happily agreed and let him go, Mark took some of his clothes and items, which is not much then left with Chris.
