Bab 34: EX entry 2 - Valentines Gift (Aloe)
A couple of days ago, it was Valentine and as expected Kyrell is receiving a ton of attention from ladies. It was just like last year, a lot of female employees gifted him some obligatory chocolates while some others, like Rouge, gave true love chocolates. Last year I gave Kyrell friendship chocolates since well, I only saw him as a close friend back then. This year, it's a different story and so I put more effort into putting my feelings across with my chocolates.
For weeks I searched many ways to deliver chocolates to the person you love, but they were all so cliche that it just didn't feel right. Kyrell barely enjoys celebrating anything and grandiose displays of affection will only turn him off. So I was pretty much at my wit's end.
After a couple of more websites as well as an entire notebook later, I finally managed to come up with something that can satisfy Kyrell and get my feelings across. Now all I had to do was wait for Valentine.
Speaking of gifts, while doing my rounds, I saw the others also making their valentines chocolates in the kitchen, it was quite the sight. Everyone was trying to get Haato-senpai to not cook since they were scared that her other half, Haachama, would pop out and try to add some weird ingredients inside the mix. Once that was established everyone went into cooking the chocolate and they looked like they had a ton of fun, it got a bit messy but it I expected as much, well kinda… I didn't expect chocolate to explode and paint the windows but everything was fairly normal.
While cleaning I noticed that Sora-senpai, Fubuki-senpai and Towa-senpai were still working on their gifts. Sora-senpai was making cookies, Fubuki-senpai was making a large chocolate heart, subtle, and Towa-senpai was making cupcakes.
When I asked them who it was for, they all erupted into deep blushes. Fubuki-senpai I could already guess of course, but as for the other two, I'm pretty sure I had my eyebrow up. Could it be those two also fell for Kyrell? I mean I don't blame them, but how did I not notice?
Unfortunately for me though, before I could get anything out of them, Kana-chan came bursting in and declared she was going to make an entire chocolate cake for Kyrell, only to be told by Kara-san not to do that if she wanted Kyrell to accept her gift.
I find it amusing to see Kana-chan try so hard for her brother only to then get scolded by him because of how far she goes. Her brother-complex is off the charts and because of that I can't really get jealous, mainly because Kyrell tends to pretty much outright reject her forwardness.
Anywho when it came to the day, it was entertaining watching the four girls interested in Kyrell's heart try to give their chocolates to him.
For Fubuki-senpai, she was a blushing mess and steam kept coming out of her head as she tried to give the box she had on hand. Kyrell didn't want to embarrass her so he thanked her for the sweets and said he would enjoy the effort she put in.
Smooth. That was enough to make senpai beam with happiness before leaving him with a huge grin on her face.
Towa-senpai was next and she acted the way I expected her to, like a tsundere, she gave her bag of cupcakes to Kyrell and told him it was just out of obligation, but considering all the obligatory chocolate that Kyrell received were just bags of small chocolates that everyone got, there was no way Towa-senpai was giving obligatory-chocolates.
Still, Kyrell played along with her little charade and accepted the gift kindly which left Towa-senpai blushing and demanding he enjoys the cupcakes.
Then finally came Sora-senpai and honestly I was curious as to what she was going to act like, but she was normal. No blushing, no acts, just the same smiling, sweet, shining Sora-senpai. Her cookies were neatly wrapped in a cute little blue bag with a red bow clipped onto the top. It was basically a bag that represented her.
Kyrell was impressed by her baking and eagerly said that he would be looking forward to eating them. Sora-senpai didn't react at all and just kept on smiling at him. Now that's confidence if I do say so myself, or maybe she just wasn't competing with anyone in the first place. I guess Sora-senpai wants to show her love her own way without butting heads with the others. How kind of her.
Kana-chan also tried to give her giant three-tiered cake but it was instantly turned down. No surprise there.
Well, while those were great, it was time for me to pull out my plan. The morning was spent trying to play nice with everyone, giving obligatory chocolates but not pulling a special one for Kyrell. During the night however, it was a different situation.
I found Kyrell once again sitting on the landing, having a nice cup of tea like he usually does every busy night. I decided to put my plan into action then and there, which included me just being by his side first so I can give my box of chocolates.
He was a bit shocked to see I prepared two for him, but he accepted it nonetheless. There really was no deep meaning to those chocolates anyways, I just wanted to give Kyrell another gift since he deserved it.
My main present on the other hand was something else, and probably only I could pull it off. Well, maybe his sisters could as well, but Kana-chan probably wouldn't because she's all about that grandiose life, and Kara-san… well maybe she wouldn't be opposed to it actually.
Anyways it's a massage. I've noticed that Kyrell has been stretching his body all over the place and I guessed that it was due to his muscles being sore. Kyrell has been nonstop working on a lot of things, some were just for the inn but most seem to be something else entirely. I don't know what it is, but it's draining the poor guy and I wanted to make him relax.
So without hesitating, I put my hands on his shoulders and began to massage him. He was shocked at first and tried to get me off of him, but I told him that it was a part of his valentine's present and so he couldn't refuse, he tried though.
I don't know what's going on right now, but I could tell Kyrell was draining himself over something. I wouldn't have been able to show my love if I was competing with the others, so it was best that I showed it by putting into account what Kyrell needed at that moment and what he needed was to relax. So I came up with a massage.
It was a success, Kyrell didn't refuse it and he thanked me at the end of it. But honestly, I wished to go a bit further, I only didn't go through with it because it was going to be very inappropriate if I did and we were already sharing such a good moment. I didn't want to ruin that.
I love Kyrell, and I know that it's better to show my love by supporting him in every way I can rather than shower him with gifts. That's the kind of person Kyrell is after all and as his secretary and close aide, I get the privilege of knowing such things.
Sorry ladies, but I'm going ahead.

For those who are curious every, girl that made special chocolates that weren't obligatory are interested in Kyrell romantically, and yes this is canon by the way.
Funnily enough, when I wrote this I didn't realise that four girls are actually in love with Kyrell, I thought I had more. But that's okay since romance isn't the name of the game like I mentioned before, but that's only in Kyrell's eyes, so the romance aspect is mostly going to be told from the eyes of the girls.
Anywho this is your special for Valentine, hope you all had a good read.
