Bab 17: Entry 14 - To see her smile (Botan)
When we found out we could be together with Aloe-chan again, we didn't hesitate to accept the proposal to live in the country.
But I guess we didn't take into account that Aloe-chan has been working there for some time now and that would've had an impact on her as well. So when we got there, we were definitely glad she was still the same Aloe-chan that we knew, but the moment she went into work mode, it was like she was a different person.
During the first night we spent together, Aloe-chan was talking to us the same way she used to, but when her boss and Coco-senpai began to talk business, her entire way of talking and the air around her changed.
She handled her co-workers so differently, she sounded so serious and professional.
Their topics were finances, promotions and even some VIPs, as I continued to listen I could tell this job was a lot more than what Aloe-chan told us. She made it sound easy, but it sure wasn't, I could barely keep up with their conversations.
When I got the chance, I asked Aloe-chan about her life in the inn and to see her beam and ramble on about the days she spent here and how her boss was just someone amazing, was honestly unexpected but a welcome one.
I had a hunch that she was doing well judging from our texts over the year we haven't seen each other, but I was really glad to see that she was no longer being affected by the past.
While I continued to listen to her go on and on about her life here in the inn, her boss Kyrell walked in on us, he was looking for Coco-kaichou and found us instead.
Here the interesting thing happened.
When her boss asked if we saw kaichou anywhere, Aloe-chan's first reaction was to question her boss whether he heard us. She was so flustered and red.
Once he was gone I interrogated her about her reaction and she denied everything I threw at her.
Guess she's in her tsundere phase.
Oh well, so long as she's happy then so am I. What more could I ask for?
