If there is anything I know about myself, it's the fact I can't talk very well with others. When I was told I needed to stay with the others, I was so scared. I could barely talk to anyone except maybe Shion-chan, but even then I'm very quiet.
I really didn't want to go, but I had no choice, so I packed my bag and hopped on the bus to the inn with the rest of second-gen.
It wasn't the worst of rides, Shion-chan kept teasing me so I teased her back. It broke the ice between everyone enough that we got to have a good chat, sure I was quieter than Subaru-chan, but pretty much everyone is quieter than Subaru-chan.
When we arrived at the inn, I nearly made a fool of myself when I ended up hugging Kaichou really hard the moment I saw her. I was like a child, it was so embarrassing, but it was kinda remedied by the fact that everyone was tearing up like me, so it wasn't too embarrassing.
So it's been a few weeks and we've settled in with the others, but during the early days we've been together I was very quiet around everyone. I can't help that I'm such an introvert and no one is blaming me for it either, which is nice, but I would like to be able to communicate clearly with others, especially when I return home and I'm on my own again.
Which was why I had a plan. To improve myself, I decided to work in Aelin inn!
It was a bit intimidating going straight to the boss, so I asked Coco-kaichou to check for me and it didn't even take 3 seconds before she told me that they weren't looking for new staff since her and Aloe-chan had joined.
Though she did say they probably had something, their inn is apparently looking to expand a bit so a couple of new hands would've been desirable.
It took an entire day but kaichou came back with some good news, she said they had a spot, it won't be working with customers but I would still need to communicate to get jobs done.
I thanked Coco-chan for the opportunity and I began to work in the inn the following day.
My first day was hell, I ended up barely talking and it was so awkward for me! Luckily Aloe-chan and Coco-chan came to check up on me, so I managed to get by, but I clammed up in front of my other co-workers. But I guess they knew about how I could barely talk to others so they just gave me orders and directions before leaving me on my own.
As time went by though I learned to open up and speak more often, even to my new boss Kyrell.
Now months into the job, I've managed to find my voice or at least some of it, since I can effectively hold a conversation with the others, just not the moment they all start to me at once. Even the rest of Hololive were surprised at how talkative I had become when I got over my shyness, though I still keep quiet most of the time, only because I can't always keep up with them.
Seriously how can some of them talk for ages and have lots of topics? I still carry around topic cards.
I just don't get it fully yet.
Nothing to say this week, so I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and I'll see you all next week.
