Bab 105: Chapter 105 - Reinforcement

"What do you mean?!" I yelled into the receiver.

"I'm sorry Sir, they've been gone for a day or so," he said, "We've been trying to contact you ever since."

"Never mind that," I said, "Do you have any clue where they might be?"

"No Sir," he said, "They vanished without a trace."

"That can't be…" I panicked, "Did you not patrol the entire island?"

"We still do," he replied, "But no one reported anything even remotely suspicious. As I said, they appeared without a trace."

I stood there for a second in complete silence. Meda stood by my side, and she was covering her mouth from the shock. This really meant that our previous fights amounted to nothing in the grand scheme of things.

"Are both Alexis Lawlett and Claire Russel gone?" I asked, just to make sure.

"Yes Sir, they are."
