Bab 49: Chapter 49 - Eyes in the Shadow

The man standing in the room turned his gaze towards us entering through the door. This action left us frozen, as his eyes filled in the shadows of the dimly lit room with it's golden glow. The man's slit iris would leave a mark on all of us, as it was both stunning, and possibly the most scary of everything that happened thus far.

As I finally broke my frozen state, I dashed towards him, trying to extend my arms to catch him, which only resulted in me activating my [Power] by accident, unleashing a huge amount of tentacles towards him. Needless to say, that did absolutely nothing. The man easily evaded my 'attack', even with the extra luggage on his back, and with that same ease, he pounced at the window, looking back at us once more, before leaving the room that same way, jumping into the morning sun.
