Bab 55: Straying Heart

Two days since the talk happened. Atlas was doing his share diligently. Me? I was regretting it. Now, that he's not paying me any attention, not a single glance, none whatsoever, got me worked up.

Multiple times I've caught myself, eyes straying in his direction. When the delegates were not in a closed-door meeting, you could see them milling around. You could see delegates talk to other representatives of the pack. Sometimes, I would find them in the training grounds, some resting in their rooms.

Alpha Carrion and Atlas already worked their differences, and I saw them once talking in the backyard tents. 

Often, I saw him talking to Kalix and Arabella. From my guess, checking on them since they're still not officially part of my pack till the ritual and he's still connected to them through the link.

Sigh.
