Ja Sun was ready. The clock was ticking but he was sure he didn't need to do anything crazy now that he had this much time to prepare things but the whole situation had been inspiring, too. One of Ja Sun's important objectives has always been to manipulate soul origin and he can do it now. But after he was explained in great detail the necessary steps required to be a god, alongside the Lady in the Lake's very special method that she 'graciously' bestowed on him, Ja Sun was left wondering the limits of things... the limits of how much he can stretch the ways of the world because that's what her special method was.
It was crazy! And that's why HE loved it!
Not being the kind of individual to actually wait and go through the tiresome process of expressing his belief and whatnot, unless it's Ah Yin, Ja Sun elected to let Xiao Bei sleep. No, to be precise, he chose this very moment because he was well aware that even after being fully assured, the mother's worry may prove to be a hindrance. It was a really wrong situation and if something happened to her child, Xiao Bei may never forgive him... but, when had he ever stated that he was the good guy?
He was a lighter shade of grey at best and whatever Xiao Bei thought she saw was only the surface that hid a craziness only few could ever hope to look in the eye calmly, hiding similar tendencies.
But he couldn't do this without the support of one individual— Bi Ji.
And thus, the green-haired woman had her toes curled slightly while she stood and squirmed in her position, clearly uncomfortable when she gazed at the glowing cocoon in the night while Ja Sun continued to set the array and drop some resources that would be fed into the array as a source of power and attributes. Much of it came from the corpse of the Evileye Tyrant that he'd processed long ago.
"Is it the right thing?" She questioned after a brief moment of hesitation.
"If that's what I thought while trying to do everything, then I'd be long bored to death. Ironically, if I thought this while sparing those I fought in the King's Lair, you'd have nothing to return to either." That silenced her. It was never his intention to make it seem like he was sparing others out of the goodness of his heart.
Previously, during the war he participated in, he spared in hopes that others would return and he would have more missions to draw upon. But... that day never came and he had grown quickly. Then, he just refrained from killing because... why not? What's the point of empty lands without a life? Why should he go out of his way to possibly kill a defeated parent, sibling, or child? It wasn't pity, but simply indifference.
But that never blocked his way to getting something. And right now, he wanted to experience how the world can change a beast into a human.
Once he set the array, he checked it with his divine intent and finally pointed for Bi Ji to stand in a certain location.
"Once the array activates, you'll be forced to feed your lifeforce saturated spirit energy. Fortunately, that's your specialty but remember, you won't be able to move."
"Why? If I move, would the array get disoriented?" She frowned.
"No, I mean, your position will be locked temporarily. Shackled." Ja Sun muttered and then returned to his seat. Taking a position quite close to the cocoon, Ja Sun placed his hand on its warm surface and sighed softly, calming his heart.
He didn't wait any longer to activate the array.
His major reason was to actually study the changes within the cocoon so his divine intent rightly saturated the surroundings as he felt the flow of time beginning to pick up around them while the beating of the cocoon quickened. For a second, everything felt surreal but in the next second, Ja Sun's consciousness began to seep within the nascent human covered by the cocoon.
She was in a strange state. Half human, half-feral... almost like an unfinished Violet but her body had begun to change at a quicker pace and Ja Sun didn't let his thoughts wander about but studied every change, not only physical but also spiritual and mental with great detail. Her soul origin was the only thing that remained unchanged as shackles began to appear over her soul origin. Lowering her cultivation.
These shackles would only release once she absorbs enough spirit energy and form a spirit ring from within herself.
A total of six shackles.
Six rings.
Yet, just when the changes were completed and a young girl with long brown hair continued to rest peacefully, Ja Sun found that despite him stopping the array, the flow of time didn't intend to listen to his command. All this time, Bi Ji was constantly keeping her flow of life energy so that neither Ja Sun nor the girl inside suffer from negative impacts from the infusion of unnatural time so even she realized that despite everything, time wasn't listening to them.
It wasn't Array's fault, of course.
Ja Sun's eyes snapped open. He still kept an eye on the girl who had begun to grow at a great speed while the three of his pupils glowed intensely. His divine intent spiked up unnaturally and he snorted. Finally finding the source of foul play, Ja Sun's divine intent instantly tackled with a remnant of divine intent but it still sent the jolts down his spine.
"Outsider... do not shift the orders that I have set..." He knew the owner of the voice, of course. This was the third time he was tackled with a remnant of Asura and the more he did, the more he believed the Lady in the Lake that she wasn't lying about Asura's true nature and strength.
Ja Sun would have wanted to rip the god a new one verbally since that's the only thing he could do for now but they were on a great limit of time. Not only for the mission but also the woman inside the cocoon was aging rapidly!
The sudden intervention was done to destroy the woman. After all, Ja Sun had indirectly implicated her in breaking some pretty damn serious rules but Asura was a god and he couldn't enter this realm anymore. All he could do was... sit back and try to intervene and at this point, no amount of his divine will would make any drastic difference.
Destroying the divine intent, Ja Sun felt the flow of time returning to its calm pace and he instantly threw a tent on himself without any explanation, causing Bi Ji, who wanted to get some answers, to feel dumbfounded. But as Ja Sun hid himself doing god knows what, the cocoon in front of her began to dry up and crack slightly and soon turn into motes of light and spirit energy that seeped into the crack and began to revitalize the woman inside.
And surely, once the cocoon fully disappeared, it let down a woman who looked remarkably similar to Xiao Bei but younger... however...
"Shouldn't they emerge as kids about six-year-old in age?" Bi Ji muttered in surprise as she hurriedly took out a sheet of cloth to cover the woman's body.
---
Distress is an understatement of what Xiao Bei and Ja Yin were feeling for reasons actually pretty similar. No, Xiao Bei wasn't the least bit unhappy that her daughter could come to her quicker than intended and even if she had grown up, Xiao Bei only welcomed her with open arms and tears of happiness. She was disgruntled that the Beast God would do something like this behind her back but she only let it go because he was successful in his attempt.
The 'nightmare' came afterward.
As beasts turn into humans, they are filled with knowledge about the human world and a simple overview of things. That's what Ah Yin had already admitted. The next step would usually be leaving for the human society and mingling with others while growing strong and learning to be a human.
Xiao Bei's daughter's situation was truly strange to the point Ja Sun didn't know whether to laugh or cry...
"Wu... Why don't you try resting on my lap?" Xiao Bei cried out with utter sadness as she saw her daughter resting on Ja Sun's lap while he stoically taught Violet and Ja Yin. If looks could kill, Xiao Bei would have killed Ja Sun and Ja Yin would have killed Xiao Wu.
That's what she called herself— Xiao Bei's daughter.
Even though she was about twenty years of age and even had the knowledge of her past life, she still acted somewhat similar to a teenager at best, and that too, a 'smarty-pants' one.
Her mother's voice woke Wu up. Blinking her large brown doe eyes, she quickly hopped towards her mother silently. Until now, Xiao Wu had yet to speak any words. She was completely silent from the beginning but again, she was also hopping like a rabbit. This is something Ah Yin never told him... apparently, despite their knowledge, the beasts do need to get used to their utterly human forms and that includes speech, movement, etc...
And he could see why Ah Yin never told him this. After all, she was a plant... he could bet that all Ah Yin did after her transformation was stay standing silently... wiggle her arms or something. It was humorous to think about it.
But with Xiao Wu's situation cleared up, and his reward stored, Ja Sun had no reason to stick around and planned to leave the moment Xiao Wu could walk normally.
Oh, he had no thoughts of leaving the mother-daughter duo alone, no. It wasn't anything perverted either. But the two of them could easily become strong units in their own class so why not try and see how far they can go? Now that Ja Sun's future path was only blurry at best with him already becoming a Titled Douluo, he needed to get inspired. He could always use the method the Lady in the Lake taught him but he would be stupid to believe it without thinking of some countermeasures.
Once Xiao Wu sat on her mother's lap, Xiao Bei's expression brightened. Her hand instantly stroked the top of her daughter's head as she remarked dotingly, "That's right! I'm your mommy but the Beast God isn't your father. You need to treat him with respect and not act spoiled."
Xiao Wu's brows scrunched up while Ja Yin cackled, "That's right! I've yet to pump some punks for him!"
"Ugh..." Others beside her groaned as Xiao Wu glared at Ja Yin. She may still be unable to speak but she understood things well and heard things quite clearly.
"Beast God!"
At this moment, a loud shout broke their attention as a familiar figure rushed towards their region. It was the Duskgold Dreadclaw Bear in his human form who was huffing and puffing, "It's those— those bitches from the Extreme North. They're here and asking for your protection since the humans are targeting them now. Many of them want to move here but... but..."
Ja Sun finally looked back at the man, slightly confused.
"Wait, start again. Humans are taking on the north?"
"Yes, ever since the war began—"
"You lost me again, dude... Ah, but meet them, her name is Xiao Bei," his next words only making everyone's expression bleak, "The mother of my newest child."
Despite everything, it wasn't beneath their new Beast God to only add more chaos with something as simple as an introduction as the Duskgold Dreadclaw Bear instantly felt stumped, bowing towards the mother-daughter pair only to leave Xiao Bei flustered and Xiao Wu to nod calmly.

A/N: With so many new additions, I will try and make a more slice of life chap to explore these new beast girl characters. Again, for reasons of pacing, I may just continue with the war on the background and bring it forward. It can be anything.
