Hello Hyuga Ren here again!
Now where was I?
Right auspicious sign my ASS!
If you're unclear as to what exactly the distinction between a Hyuga main family member and a Hyuga branch family member is, well: Master and Slave.
Not servant, not attendant, not bloody anything other than slave.
I figured this out after watching my parents for a while. Mother lived like a princess and you'd believe she was one considering her lifestyle.
No one asks anything of her and she does things if and when she feels like it. Why? Because no one expects her to do much. She does manage some logistics for the clan as a whole but father is clearly being run ragged while she has the leisure life.
This little situation led me to an odd discovery. One day I called her a bitch in English, she then turned to me and asked where I had learned that word. This left me gobsmacked.
Internally I believed people were speaking Japanese and I was mentally translating it and hearing it as English. That was dumb as I knew I had no such thing as a system or it's accompanying language skill but I jumped to that conclusion anyways. This was a mistake and I promptly earned an ass kicking. Not like a spank but legitimate ass kicking for offending her Royal highness here.
So that's why all these journals are written in Spanish, as for what reason this version of the naruto world had Japanese as their written language but English as their spoken language? I chalk it up to I'm in the DUB anime version of the world. I try not to think too hard on it.
My parents situation on the other hand became quite clear by comparison. These two were genjutsu'd to kingdom come before my birth and a year afterwards. Why? Breeding Kekkei Genkai. Plain and simple.
The fact I'm a child of some level of incest is worrisome enough but my so called mother is basically the personification of a cultivation novel young master. Arrogant, petty, holier than though twisted logic, and the clincher… abusive as shit.
The gentle fist is not that gentle is all I can say. Now admittedly she was essentially mind controlled and r**** for several months of her life. So at the beginning I pitied her. She no longer had a loving look in her eye when looking at me and I understood why. To have to raise me in spite of how I was conceived was cruel. Then I saw how she was with my father, torture might be a light word for it. At first I thought he deserved it. Then I learned the truth.
This woman assigned to be my mother was an odd case in the Hyuga family, she wanted more. She wanted to be the wife of the clan head. Not for love, but for status. A trait rarely seen in the level headed and well respected Hyuga family but present nonetheless. Hyuga- dono easily saw through her and denied her at every step and yet she was relentless. Resulting in a feeble attempt from herself to have the man through genjutsu. The irony.
The persistence resulted in this situation were she found herself as a breeding factory for strong descendants as a consequence. Father was just the toy used for her punishment, nothing more. The whole situation wasn't his fault or desire and yet here he was suffering for it all the same.
After 2 years of tolerating me and with several ass whoppings she made her decision on my family status. Naturally seeing me as disgusting to her own status she assigned me to the branch family. In essence she refused to claim me as her son.
So at 2 years old I just had a father. A father who had no choice in the matter. He clearly had mixed feelings about me but would treat me as his son nonetheless. To be fair I had mixed feelings about him as well but he was growing on me. I still couldn't treat him as my real father but I respected him as a man. He was at least still human unlike that woman.
Naturally without that woman's claim I was designated as a branch family member. That came with the little seal I was dreading so much. That woman would definitely find excuses to use it on me.
Hyuga Hiashi and his brother were born in year 37 of Konohagakure by custom I should have received the seal on his third birthdate. Naturally as he's already 3 years old I would receive it immediately after my status was decided and so I did.
0 out of 5. I would not recommend.
After my new tattoo I naturally had to do what was expected of me as a branch family member. So my studies in the gentle fist began and with it came the use of my byakugan.
It was a surreal experience. X-ray vision sounds cool but the first time resulted in severe vertigo. Hence the schooling I was trudging through to control it. To be honest it was slightly underwhelming.
The gentle fist though was a giant surprise and it makes no sense how gentle fist wasn't forced to be a mandatory part of the academies curriculum.
Yes it's the Hyuga family's martial art but it's distributed to all branch family members and the real good stuff stays in the main family. So it's a shock that Sarutobi and Danzo haven't asked to distribute the martial art village wide.
The Hyuga clans gentle fist may seem like a useless taijutsu to some. If you can't see the flow of chakra via the byakugan it's clearly hard to capitalize on the disruption on chakra flow like the martial art was intended to do. This though was not martial arts true benefit. The benefit was:
CHAKRA CONTROL!
Screw walking on water, screw climbing up trees, screw sticking to leaves. If you want chakra control, gentle fist was the money maker.
It's called gentle fist because just a slight tap can cause severe internal damage. To do this, the user surgically injects a certain amount of their own chakra into the opponent's chakra pathway system, causing damage to surrounding organs due to their proximity to the chakra circulatory system. Naturally with the byakugan that surgical injection becomes a lot simpler and has a much higher if not guaranteed chance of blocking the opponents chakra pathway to cause damage.
That surgical injection itself though was a masterclass in chakra control. With enough control it could be used to slice through ninjutsu not just with your hands but with the whole body as any chakra point could be used to emit that surgical point of chakra. Making it a sort of pseudo armor and granting a certain immunity to chakra based binding jutsus.
Quite frankly it was ridiculous how effective this taijutsu was for training and combat purposes and certainly earned its it's reputation as Konoha's best taijutsu. At least for now that the Eight Gates wasn't complete.
The biggest shock in my life though came at my dinner table on my third birthday. That was the beginning of a whole new world.

The biggest question Dub anime version? Well in most dubs they leave a lot of Japanese everywhere despite it trying to portray the main language being English. They also tend to translate some writing to English and display it to the viewer because…well idk why. Then show the clearly Japanese writing all around them… again idk why.
This is how I rationalize everyone speaking English without changing the fact there’s Japanese writing everywhere. I saw the cop out and I took it lol.
