Bab 62: What About Roman?

Roman was in a relationship with a woman named Leslie Kendall but there weren't many pictures posted with her. Penelope recognized that name and face though—she had been one of his classmates in grad school. 

It seemed like her suspicion that she had harbored feelings toward Roman had been correct. They ran into each other while on a date at a popular ice cream place once before the two of them got engaged. The way Leslie acted made it completely obvious. She had been surprised and disappointed that he had a girlfriend. 

Roman was barely friendly to her; Leslie had been the one to say hello first. He only had eyes for Penelope. But since there was no indication they even met in this world, there was nothing stopping him from reciprocating her feelings this time. 

Penelope felt a weight in her chest. He wasn't her husband here so it was stupid to be jealous and possessive.
