Bab 11: Chapter 10
A/N: I can see why this type of Fanfic gets dropped pretty often, as the basketball scenes among other things can be extremely hard to write. Sometimes it makes me feel dumb because you can't think how to describe something that would normally be so simple.
The next day came along and the entire school heard of the shocking win the basketball team had. Not only did they win by a large margin but they beat a powerhouse. Even the school began to see the basketball team in a different light. They took measures to ensure that the basketball team would have the required supplies and equipment to improve.
"It seems like he was right about this year's team. The investment into a basketball coach was indeed a wise move." Leaning over the table a man had both of his elbows resting his chin on his hands.
"Yes principle I can say for certain that this year's team will likely win the tournament. Getting to watch the three of them live was beyond me, especially that Tatsuya kid."
"I suppose we should keep an eye on him then. I have a feeling he knows more than he's letting on. For now get the first gym fixed up so it's usable. I think we have a good three years ahead of us."
P.O.V. Swap Sei and Friend
"Sei, I heard Kaito returned to the team. Your boyfriend looked extremely happy lately! When I heard the news it made a lot of sense!" Finally turning quiet the girl nudged Sei in the arm. "Is this year's team really that good?"
Sighing because of her friend's usual antics. "Yes, this year's team is going to be a monster. The two 1st years we got are extremely good and another one with some work will be a really good player in another year or two."
"So? Who's the best on the team then?" She was extremely curious that her friend was calling their team a monster. This would mean that these two boys would be top tier players in the future. She couldn't help but want to see them.
"Tatsuya. Hands down. He hasn't even played to his maximum potential. If you watched the game he was literally dancing around them without breaking a sweat. He's scary good even by my standards. After Tatsuya, depending on what we're talking about, Kaito is 2nd in terms of scoring and Akira is better in terms of defensive play. However, overall Akira is more than likely the better player." Sei although she wasn't happy calling Kaito the worst of the three she understood that his shortcomings came from him taking off the rest of last year off after their last loss.
"I see, maybe I should come take a look." She turns and begins walking towards the gym only for a hand to land on her shoulder.
"Kairi! Shouldn't you be heading to practice. If you want to see them that badly, watch this." She hands over a disc. "This is their game. You'll understand what I mean after watching this."
P.O.V. Swap
"Again!" After school the boys basketball team met up with their coach to discuss the game. The conclusion of the team was the lack of stamina although they won handily the overall stamina of the team wasn't good enough. "Again!" The team was forced to run suicides. (The running of across the court in a back and forth at a full sprint.)
"Although you won handily! We can't have people getting tired throughout the game. We only have seven players. Again!" In the middle of the kids Tatsuya was smiling the entire time. Although, this type of thing is nothing to him because of the training he received before he was happy to finally be able to practice with people. "Again!"
