This approach did not seem like her and it surprised Keito to see her have such a base. This was not his first time here but it was his first time so deep inside this building. It was just a mass of darkness, lighted by the magic ball Frichia held above her open palm. 

And if Frichia's choice had been a surprise, the person she had captured had ended up even more so as a surprise for Keito. He knew her and he wanted to kill her as well. She had been the reason for this situation.

She was the devil that had possessed Jess.

"Well, what a surprise. Am I supposed to welcome you here?" Keito's voice was dry as it broke through the silence. It also did its work and knocked the spirit out of its daze. It was clear that the spirit was shocked, much more than Keito had been at seeing the other spirit.
