Due to certain circumstances both Hermione and Ginny Weasley ended up staying sharing a cubicle with William, all because the rest of the cubicles were either full or there was only room left for one person, the twins had their affair with their friends and Percy now had other 'worries', the little Weasley ended up staying with the responsible Hermione.
"No sign of either of them."
Hermione went out several times to check where her two friends were but to no avail, she then remained sitting across from William who was still reading calmly.
"But I saw them, they were right behind me before they entered the ande" Ginny exclaimed worriedly.
"Maybe they just went up in another carriage, we'll probably run into each other when we get to the castle, you have nothing to worry about Ginny" Hermione was trying to calm the girl down
"You're right..." the girl slowly calmed down.
Then Hermione turned around to look at William who had been silent "What are you reading?"
"Muggle literature, Don Quixote of La Mancha, one of the first editions of the book happened to be in the family library" William patted the book a couple of times.
"I really thought you were reading something more interesting" the disappointment on Hermione's face was evident but there was no way William was going to be bothered by it.
"Are you trying to say that Muggle literature isn't interesting?" asked William in surprise "You're disappointing Hermione.... Besides I spent the entire vacation studying magic I think I should allow my brain a rest"
"I could read the news in the prophet, everyone says they're heroes" mentioned Hermione
"Heroes?" William closed the book and looked out the window "no, we only wished to obtain treasures and we were lucky enough to get out of danger without losing anyone's life, now that I think about it properly, all of us who were there that day should be underground."
William's expression was quite bright unlike the cold words coming out of his mouth, all this produced different reactions in the girls in front of him.
"Anyway everything went well and I got everything I wished for" William settled back in the seat crossing his arms behind his head "studying at Castelobruxo was an experience unlike anything you can imagine"
"The pyramids, the jungle, the library that seemed to be endless and even the classes themselves, everything is really different from Hogwarts" William then began to relate everything he had experienced in his stay in South America, Hermione asked several questions and before long Ginny also became interested in the topic of conversation.
William explained some of the basics of his classes at Castelobruxo, the differences in schooling and even the quality of the teachers, he demonstrated some of the charms and spells learned, then he showed them some parts of his uniform that he took out of his storage box.
"It's amazing how magic in the native peoples of a territory can vary to such a degree that to us it is completely unknown, when I think of how this would be possible in other places on the planet I feel like Hogwarts is nothing."
Looking at William's calm expression no one could deny that he had truly changed in the short period of time since classes ended.
"You really are very different from what my brothers describe" who said that was Ginny surprising the duo.
"Huh?"
"Ah!" feeling the stares on her Ginny pulled back slightly and lowered her confident tone "I-It's just.... my brothers talked about you a few times during the vacations... and they said that you're a scary person."
"But I am scary" William pointed out to himself calmly.
"You're just making things more complicated for Ginny and you" Hermione looked at William with some contempt "you don't talk to anyone at Hogwarts and whenever someone says something about you you just accept it, the year before you were even happy when they called you a little Death Eater"
"But you must admit it was a good nickname" William scratched his head contentedly.
Ginny just stared at them then let out a small laugh "you really are different to the rumors, I want to believe that my brothers are wrong about you"
"I really don't care what they say about me, I just want to learn more about magic, for my part they can call me whatever they want as long as they don't get in my way then fine, of course if you want to learn anything feel free to ask, I can explain anything that is in my area of research"
William could see out of the express window the flying car for a split second then a smile was drawn on his face "plus this year things might be a little more fun."
The trio were able to eat some snacks and then continued to talk during the course of the journey until finally they were near the station and William was thrown outside the cubicle as he was the less predominant sex in the area and they all had to change their clothes, especially Ginny who was now a first year student.
"Why am I the only one outside the cubicle waiting?" William asked himself as he sat on the floor to wait his turn, a couple of minutes later both girls came out of the cubicle with their uniforms, Hermione as always used everything according to the rules, on the other hand in Ginny's wardrobe you could see that several things were slightly deteriorated some because they were inherited from her older siblings and others simply because they were second hand.
"You really look like two spring flowers" said William with a bright smile that could have made any girl fall under other circumstances, but in front of William was Hermione the bookworm.
"Yeah, better change your clothes before it's too late."
William walked in with his head bowed "Yeah..."
Once inside the cubicle he used his wand to make the Hogwarts uniform come out of the suitcase, he stared at it for a couple of seconds and then pulled the Castelobruxo uniform out of storage.
"It's disheartening that the entire Castelobruxo uniform possesses such gaudy colors, I would really like to wear some of each, I know the headmaster would allow it somehow, but because of the colors this is a fantasy" William let out a sigh then noticed the dragon leather boots of the Castelobruxo uniform and the old fashioned Hogwarts school shoes, he let out a slight chuckle.
Outside the cubicle Hermione heard William's chuckle "he's up to no good" Ginny looked at her intrigued and a couple of minutes later the cubicle door opened once more.
