“Yoo-Na, technically we are not alone.” Ji-Hoon pointed towards the lift attendant with his eyes who was crying with blood tears, that was a really weird day for him. “He will not look, but you know what, the fact that you don’t push me away in these situations makes me more excited.” she grinned at him sheepishly.
Ji-Hoon placed his hands on her shoulder, slightly pushing her body away from him gently. “I guess, I am getting too used to your jokes.”
“What jokes? I am freaking serious. If I get any chance, I will kidnap you and marry you at the gunpoint.” she warned him but he just laughed it off. “Sometimes you really annoy me.” she rolled her eyes.
“It is good to hear that.” he snickered and she smiled feeling happy that he was getting along well with her after the vacation. “But I don’t mind as long as you open these luscious lips.” she touched the tip of her index finger with his lips just for a second and Ji-Hoon flinched at her actions.
“What? did your heart flutter or did you feel butterflies in your stomach?” she eagerly asked him but he just exhaled deeply, silently trying to calm down his exceeded rate beat.
The gate of the elevator again glided open as he sighed in relief. “Bad timing.” Yoo-Na said tutting at the elevator while Ji-Hoon really could see how the night was about to go for him as she dragged him out of the elevator clinging onto his left arm.
...
“Did my plan really work?” Yoo-Na dumbfoundedly looked at Se-Young and Dong-Hoon as his arm was still resting on her waist. “What plan?” Ji-Hoon frowned his eyebrows.
“We left them behind in the fields alone, I knew at that time. They were absolutely acting like my parents when they fight.” Ji-Hoon slightly laughed at her silly remark. “No, they are not what you are thinking, it is my mother’s doing.” he shook his head in denial.
“ooo, may be not yet... but still look at them and then look at us. He is holding her waist and here I am holding your arm. You should learn something from your brother, he is so cool.” her eyes were shining with stars in them.
When he just shrugged his shoulder at her statement, she took his arm and put it around her waist herself. “Don’t you dare pull your arm away or I will kiss you right here in front of all these people.” she playfully warned him but he really became cautious, from what he saw all these times she really would not mind kissing him in front of all those strangers and accepting defeat, he let his arm be.
“Oh my, Yoo-Na. You are looking amazing.” Jung-Nan approached them.
“Thank you, Mrs. Shim, you are looking no less than a fairy.” she buttered her mother-in-law to be, mother-in-law in her fantasies we may add and Jung-Nan chuckled in satisfaction. “You guys enjoy and Ji-Hoon, don’t trouble her.” she gave him a suggestive look and walked away towards Min-Hoon.
“Don’t trouble her, it should be the other way around.” he said to himself and scoffed thinking that how ironic it was.
“I heard that.” Yoo-Na pouted. “That look does not suit your personality.” Yoo-Na chuckled hearing that, she knew that being cute and childish was not something in her character.
“I know right. I knew it that I was born with a sexy and seductive aura.” she fanned herself as if the high-temperature heat was radiating from her. 'Yes, I brought all this on myself.' Ji-Hoon again cursed himself in his mind.
"The cute ones are there." she said pointing at Tae-Hoon and Hani. Ji-Hoon also turned his head towards them, finding Tae-Hoon helping Hani towards the seats since she seemed to be tired.
He slightly smiled and let out a sigh. "Well, that is one cute pair, indeed." now that if he thought, Hani was just a sister-in-law to him and he did not saw her more than that anymore and he was glad about it.
...
Eun-Bi’s eyes were glued to Se-Young and Dong-Hoon the whole time like a hawk. “I warned you but why would you listen to me.” Eun-Woo said in a strict tone and she just scoffed and turned her head in another direction.
“It is his loss, not mine and you know me I want what I want, I will not stay still until the thing that is supposed to be mine will eventually be mine.” her nostrils were flared with anger.
Eun-Woo shook his head. “If you cause any kind of trouble to my friendship with Dong-Hoon, I will not be lenient on you like I have always been, you should know your limits.” Eun-Woo was being serious but Eun-Bi was not taking him as seriously, to her, he was always like that, saying strict words but when she got into trouble, he would take her out no matter what.
“I don’t have any limits when it comes to benefit. I can’t bear this pathetic behavior of yours anymore.” she said leaving him alone.
Eun-Woo was just looking at her back with sharp glares, what he wanted was his sister’s wellbeing but she liked to jump into such situations and in the end, he has to save her a**. After the death of their parents, he had always treated her like a daughter, a sister and a friend altogether but he can’t go along with everything, especially when she could get into big troubles.
…
Dong-Hoon walked up to a man who was in his late sixties and was chatting with some other elders. “Mr. Choi, I think you would surely have some time to spare for me.” he said politely but that man’s face became pale.
“Oh… excuse me, I will be back in a minute or two.” he said to others and then turned back to Dong-Hoon.
“I know what you want to talk about but I don’t think I can accept that contract, my apologies.” the old man was quite straightforward. Dong-Hoon sighed shaking his head. “I really respect you and I know how much that plot means to you, but do you really think Shims are someone not trustworthy enough?” he pressed that man with the honesty and admiring qualities of Shims that were famous in the business world.
