Bab 62: Parent’s plan
"As if you wanted to accept that proposal. Don't spoil my mood. You think that my plan would not work. I know my sons better. Just like this vacation caused the tension between them to reduce, even though they are just pretending in front of the Parks but still, something is better than nothing." Jung-Nan said proudly and Min-Hoon nodded, agreeing with her.
Dong-Hoon was shocked as his jaw was hanging low with surprise. He cleared his throat getting both of their attention.
With widened eyes, they were looking at Dong-Hoon and then at each other as if their fraud has been caught.
~Flashback~ (when Eun-Woo and Eun-Bi went to meet Min-Hoon)
“Hmmm... Min Eun-Woo from what I see, if Dong-Hoon did not agree to this for the first time then it is a waste of your time and his time as well.” Min-Hoon said clarifying himself.
Eun-Woo was about to say that he can at least try but before even saying that Min-Hoon answered him, “And since you guys approached me thinking of me as an elder, I will really talk to Dong-Hoon about this.” he looked at Eun-Woo and then at Eun-Bi.
Hearing him say that she had that familiar victorious smile on her face thinking that Dong-Hoon will never oppose his father but it soon died down when Min-Hoon again opened his mouth. “But it is up to Dong-Hoon, after all, what we want is a beautiful girl for him and not a deal or a price tag.” he smiled as if saying to her that no offense girl.
Eun-Woo looked at his sister knowing that she was upset hearing what Min-Hoon had said. “Thank you very much Mr. Shim if you ever need me in the future, I will be just one call away.” he stood up and bowed and forced his sister to bow as well with his eyes.
Min-Hoon was looking at everything with his experienced vision and he understood that a girl as sharp and dominating as Eun-Bi was not suitable for his son.”
~End of Flashback~

~Another Flashback~ (The day before Min-Hoon restricting Dong-Hoon to fight with Se-Young)
“Hmmm... I can help you in that matter.” Min-Hoon said to Jung-Nan. She looked at him impressed and she even had thought that he could be even against this matter but it was the opposite. She squinted her eyes at him and asked, “and why would you do that?”
“Well, you know Min Eun-Woo right.” he spoke.
“Dong-Hoon’s friend.” she asked conforming to it.
“Yes, he came with his sister to our office with a proposal for arrangement between his sister and Dong-Hoon.”
“AAAAAND” she asked still looking carefully at her husband.
“I tell you that girl is not the right one for our Dong-Hoon and now that you are talking about Se-Young, she is quite a nice child and she is sweet, simple and most importantly she is caring and only a girl like her can suit our Dong-Hoon.” he said firmly nodding his head.
Hearing his words Jung-Nan was smiling like an idiot and was floating on cloud nine. “Sometimes I wonder, are you bipolar or something.” she asked him.
He frowned his eyebrows in confusion and asked, “Why would you think like that?”
“Nothing, tell me about what type of help were you talking about?” she asked changing the topic. And that was how they came up with the plan to scold Dong-Hoon that day to make him think about the matter seriously.
~End of Flashback~

“And just like that I also made him pretend that he fainted and asked the doctor to suggest a vacation so you three can somewhat come closer again.” Jung-Nan ended her explanation as Dong-Hoon was sitting on a chair in front of them while crossing his arms over his chest.
She was nervously looking here and there while Min-Hoon was confidently having an eye-contact with him and being in the exact same posture as him. “So, you got all of us worried just so that we can get closer.” Dong-Hoon said looking at his mother now.
“Then what about you guys making us worried with your silly fights.” she said with a sad and angry, mixed expression on her face.
Dong-Hoon sighed and made an eye-contact with his father again. “and when you said that she is just a maid, you did not mean that, right?” he asked for confirmation.
“And why are you asking that?” Min-Hoon gave him a questioning look.
Dong-Hoon cleared his throat, intermingling his finger and cracking his knuckles with awkwardness while Jung-Nan was looking at him for a heart-wanted reply. “I... you know... like...” he again cleared his throat.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk, a man never stutters when confessing his love for someone.” she shook her head.
“I don’t know what you are talking about and I better get going.” he awkwardly laughed and stood up and rushed out of the room before his parents would ask him any weirder questions.
It was confirmed to them that Dong-Hoon had some special place for Se-Young in his heart.
The whole night Dong-Hoon could not sleep as all those things that his parents told him were running in his mind. He really felt bad to make them worried about the quarrel between the brothers.
On the other hand, Se-Young and Eun-Bi had taken half of his mind as well since he knew that Eun-Bi was going to do something for sure. She was not someone to stay quiet.
And Se-Young’s thought made his fingers fidget with nervousness. He knows that he was attracted to her from day one but her being a chef was still something that bothered him. If he tried to forget about it then the real question here was would she ever consider him? keeping in the notice that how many times he had mocked her.
Well, everything will be settled by time only.
The night was restless. All three of them were thinking about the times when everything was on track.
