"I, too, am a woman. I know how you feel about him. Mother Nena had already agreed. Xylon and I made plans to marry if ever I return and he's still single..." She folded her arms and looked at me. "I returned to pursue our marriage. And guess what?" I noticed her jaw tightening and then letting out a deep sigh. "He declined my request. He told me that the only girl he would marry... was the one he truly loved," she declared, her gaze bitterly fixed on the two people on stage who are very much in love.

Xylon handed the microphone to Farah. That was the last scene I saw before I slowly turn around.
