She started to breathe heavily as the picture became clear for her.

Rosa felt pink all over as she cleared her throat, “Thank you for saving me, Your Highness.”

She tried to move, but the grip from Darce’s arms was firm.

‘Stop moving, or you fall again.” Darce scolded her, which made her stand still.

It seemed to Rosa that a long time had passed since Darce kept hold of her. She could feel his warm breath on her neck as his chin touched the corner of her head.

“So, that was not a dream,” Darce asked again.

Rosa tried to move and face him, but Darce did not let her move.

“I also did not know that the Princess harbored the same feelings as mine.” His voice went lower, almost into a whisper.

“Tell me, Princess, do you feel the same for me?” Rosa felt her heart going to burst.

She confirmed that her heart was beating loud enough for Darce to hear. However, not only was her heart loud, but not one sound came into her ears.
