“I believe the Rante lord did not return to his castle for a long time now,” Granny said.

Larose nodded his head. “The princes would be joining him after this. I heard there is trouble at the fifth camp.”

“Fifth camp?” Rosa asked, her eyebrow curved.

Larose took a bite from the last canopy on his plate. “Captain Darce is on a war spree; the emperor sent him to take down the seven camps on the eastern border. He took down four of them one after another, without any rest. People believe he is possessed by the way he is moving.”

Larose waved his hand to call the server for a drink. “He is not taking any rest. It looks like he will take down the seventh camp by the end of this year.”

He passed the drinks to the elder and Rosa. ‘How long was I in the desert?’ Rosa thought, worried about Darce.

‘It has been months, princess. It is close to a new year. Time moves fast in the desert.’ The shadow whispered.
