Bab 41: I'm dead
Two days later, Max was the first to awaken from his befogged state. When he opened his eyes, he felt a stabbing headache as the light penetrated his eyes. He took extra time to adjust his eyes and mind to the haze before slowly waking up and sitting up. He was a bit confused and could not quite remember what had happened the minute, hour, or days before. He took note that he was in his own bedroom, a fact that relaxed him, but panicked greatly as he looked at his naked body full of fingers and bite marks. He immediately looked to his right and thankfully saw Trevor lying there. He smiled sweetly and looked at his boyfriend who was fast asleep.
But in the next second, his smile vanished and his eyes widened as he saw what a desolate state Trevor was in. He startled up, pulling the covers off and gasping when he saw Trevor's body covered in bruises and all red. His mouth was wide open as he was amazed and scared at the same time. Looking at Trevor, he could feel how much he had suffered and how brutal he must have been to him.
Seeing how uncomfortable he was, Max touched his forehead and was surprised at how much it burned. He hurriedly went out and took a wet towel from the bathroom to put on Trevor's forehead.
As he put the towel on, his eyes fell on Trevor's neck, his hand stopped in midair, and he jolted out of bed as if he had seen his worst nightmare. His face was pale and his body was shaking, he just could not believe what he was seeing. There was a bite mark on Trevor's neck, exactly where he needed to bite to complete their bond and mark him his. He took his head in his hand and paced back and forth in front of Trevor.
"No, no, no, it can not be! I didn't do it! Please tell me I didn't do it!!! Hell, I can't even remember those two days!!! Oh my god, I am in deep shit! Wouldn't he kill me? Surely he won't kill the one he loves right?"
Max could not believe it, he could not even remember mating with Trevor! Was that really true? How would Trevor react when he woke up? Was it the end of their relationship? Those were all the things that were going through Max's mind.
He sat on the edge of their bed after taking a cold shower that he thought would help refresh his memory, but things were still hazy as he continued to struggle to remember what had happened. He knew it was a mistake to listen to Trevor and let him, help him as he had said! Now he was afraid that he might actually lose him! Being marked was what Trevor feared the most and now... He just sighed; looking at Trevor's sleeping face.
After some time, Trevor's fever had thankfully gone down and he was starting to wake up. Feeling himself moving slowly, Max stood up abruptly and looked at Trevor from a distance as he slowly opened his eyes.
Trevor was so tired when he opened his eyes that he could not even move a finger, let alone his body. He felt like a car had run over him at least five times, his mouth was all dried up, he really looked like a sick person. He looked to his left and frowned when he did not see Max lying next to him. He slowly woke up, only to find Max looking at him from a distance. He smiled faintly when he saw that Max was okay now, but he also noticed his worried face, and Trevor smiled even more as he guessed what was upsetting his adorable alpha.
"Hi" Trevor tried in vain to rouse his body, which was not listening to him one bit. He was forced to call Max to his aid, who was still standing some distance away, looking at him with fearful eyes. "Honey, can you please help me?" asked Trevor in a hoarse voice.
Max ran towards him, seeing how much he was in pain, but stopped in front of him, he did not know why, but he was really afraid to touch him now, he just had in his mind how Trevor would react later when he find that neck mark. Trevor noticed his hesitation and smiled,
"You did not do anything wrong and you did not force me to do anything, okay? These bruises will go away soon and I do not regret what we did one bit... Now please take me to the bathroom..." Trevor pointed to the bruise on his body as if he did not remember the mark on his neck either. When Max was near, he made the effort to put his hands around Max's neck, as if rushing him to take him in his arms.
Max reluctantly took him into his arms, his gaze still not wandering to Trevor, but to his neck. Once in the bathroom, he placed him in the large bathtub, having taken the trouble to avoid all mirrors in the bathroom, and began to run slightly warm water. Trevor groaned a little as the water touched and refreshed his skin. The small pain he felt as the water touched the bruises made him shiver a little, but the refreshment his body felt gave him strength. He looked to Max who was still a little lost,
"Hey honey, can you help me, please? I am having a hard time getting to my back and I have a pain in my neck, can you see what it is?" Trevor smiled innocently as Max looked at him in horror, his eyes still unable to look at Trevor.
Max took his task seriously and helped Trevor wash up, but still avoided looking at his neck. Afterward, they returned to their bedroom, Max had changed the sheets and put some order into all the things they had broken all over the room. He sat down next to Trevor and thought about how to tell him what was on his neck, but still could not find the right words.
"Babe... I can not really remember some parts of the last two days... And" He touched his neck sheepishly and looked down "it seems like there's a bite mark on your neck... I do not know if I..."
"What??????" Trevor was startled, forgetting that his body hurt.
"I am sorry!!! I can't remember, I don't even know if I really marked you!!! Don't panic, let us think a bit first and try to remember" Max's face was so pale that Trevor burst out laughing!
"Nothing happened!!! You just bit me! I did not even fight back... you even stopped yourself!"
"Really??? Oh my god, I can breathe again now! I really freaked out, I thought I'll lose you because of that!"
"I told you I was not going anywhere, remember?! But I was impressed by your self-control at that crucial moment! Thank you!"
"So you are okay now with me marking you?" asked Max cautiously, inwardly hoping that the answer would be yes.
"Don't push it!" Trevor grinned devilishly.
Max just swallowed before heading into the kitchen with his heart light washed of all his late worries to make them something to eat, Trevor needing to fortify himself first.
