A month has passed by in a flash, and settling into their new apartment. Jason and Lala found it quite different compared to living in a smalltown. The sounds of vehicles and various people on the streets at all hours of the day. New York is worthy of it's name of a city that never sleeps.
So besides adjusting to not being able to use his ability as much as he used too. Jason found not much changed in their daily life for the time being. He still sent out his few orders and Lala still worked on her inventions. Though, they mostly just spent most of their days just doing whatever interests them.
"This movie is just dumb." Lala grumbled. "The only good scenes are the nude scenes."
Turning his head away from the movie, Jason just stared at Lala. They were currently watching Friday the 13th, or one of the few remakes. In which, both were disappointed as they found it boring to watch. The campers knew that groups had disappeared around the lake, yet here they thought it was a perfect place to go camping.
"What? Just because I am a girl doesn't mean I can't like those scenes." Lala blushed a bit as she turned her head away.
"What do you need to be embarrassed for? I sort of agree with you as the movie is just lackluster otherwise." Jason smiled. "I give it a five out of ten, not terrible but not great either."
"You just agree because of the boobs." Lala replied with an eye roll.
"Hey, you're the one that started this conversation. Besides, why would I pick movie breasts over yours?" Jason teased her lightly.
Lala only rolled her eyes lightly as she playfully slapped his arms. Despite being a weird compliment, it still made her smile.
'Peaceful days are the best.' Jason thought to himself.

In a hidden lab, things were not as peaceful. Millions of dollars in equipment was destroyed as the red lights flashed on the walls. A loud alarm was going off as armed guards littered the ground either dead or very close to it.
"Why?" A man with graying hair asked.
Held up by his collar, Dr. Grant looked with a tinge of fear at what was once his lab assistant. They were on course to make one of the biggest discoveries ever as they studied the effects of Viltrumite blood. Only, for reasons unknown, Malk had injected himself with the remaining blood.
With a slightly thicker frame of muscle along with a near feral look in his eyes. His glasses were long broken as the hail of bullets bounced off him moments before. Bullets that had no effect beside putting holes in his clothes and shattering his glasses.
"Why? I thought you were smarter than this doctor " Malk laughed slightly mad. "Power of course. You have seen what happened to our test subjects. With this strength, speed and flight, I could be god among men. I can rule over the world."
"Someone will stop you, Malk." Dr. Grant said. "You are not without weaknesses nor do you know all the side effects."
"True, but besides us. Who else knows this." Malk grinned as he began to increase his strength. "Goodbye Doctor."
In an explosion of blood and gore, Malk dropped the headless doctor's body. Stepping over the body as he marched towards the door. Malk grinned maliciously as he began to destroy the supports that held up the lab.
"Look out world, your god is coming."

"Which movies should we watch next?" Lala asked herself as she skimmed over the selections.
Skipping past the romance options entirely since she wasn't much of a fan of those. She looked at the rest with a slight hum. Behind her as he returned with a couple of cups of ice tea, Jason began to hear explosions and gunfire in the distance. It wasn't like the random or one off either as there were too many guns going off.
Tuning his ear in on that location.
"Keep firing, keep firing."
"What is he?"
"Keith, Keith stay with me. It's just a flesh wound."
"It's a monster."
"What's wrong Jason?" Lala asked as she turned her head.
Snapping out of it as he blinked a few times. Jason felt a small need to investigate as it made him curious. What could they be facing that is bullet proof?
"Turn on the news." Jason asked which made Lala raise an eyebrow. "Please."
Smiling as she did, only it didn't last long. On an emergency broadcast, it showed a man in what to be a torn lab coat tossing cars around like hot wheels. Bullets bounced off his skin as he laughed madly.
"Bow down to your new god." The man shouted as wobbled heavily as he began hovering.
Either he just came into his new powers or hasn't actually trained them. Since the man was clearly delusional to be claiming to be a god. Jason would place the bet on the first option as he watched an explosive push the man backward a bit.
"Lala, what are the odds that they managed to collect a small bit of Thragg's blood." Jason asked as he began to take off his glasses.
"Too small if any I believe. During your fight, neither of you left behind much blood truthfully."
Frowning as he recalled the fight and the five that died during it. Jason agreed with Lala's answer as barely if any could have been collected.
"Well, I might as well take care of him. I will take a look at his DNA and see if we can find the answer." Jason sat his glasses down.
However, right before he was about to burst out the window to go take the man down. A giant green figure rippling with muscles appeared in purple shorts and short black hair. The green giant let out a roar as it sent a large fist knocking the man back through a pile of vehicles.
Moments later, a being just as large as the green one appeared. Only unlike the green one, this one was grey with a spiny body. Clearly holding a great deal of rage with the green one, the two began duking it out destroying everything around them.
Unable to keep filming, the news was soon cut and the last image was the man who began the rampage now dead with a broken metal frame pierced through his heart.
"Umm, should I still go?" Jason asked, confused.
"I don't think so." Lala replied also confused.
It was only after a few hours when the news ran a special did a random thought pop up in Jason's head.
'Was that the Hulk?'
