"Here! Your favorite grapes!"

Maude smiled and chewed the grapes, spitting out the seeds into her son's palm. While the young woman was peeling the apple beside the man. They two looked like a married couple taking care of mother who was hospitalized.

"I think you two should get married!" Out of nowhere, Maude spoke out loud excitedly, grinning at the young woman. Her words caused Mara to furrow her brows and look up at the man's mother in surprise. Her hand stopped peeling the apple.

How could Maude say such a thing with an innocent grin like a pure child? Did she even notice that Oliver did not like Mara in that way? It was how the young woman believed. She thought Oliver just loved her in a friendly way or siblings way.

Oliver was speechless, lowering his head to hide the flushed face from the young woman. His mother really was unpredictable. Words which escaped her lips were unexpected all the time. He could never guess what she would say.
