Well, that didn’t go well at all. Selina skipped her afternoon classes, as well, regretting saying anything to Nicole about what Cherise was planning. Knowing Nicole, she would go straight to Cherise, spilling all the details of their lunch. And then to Clara. Selina blew out a frustrated breath as she tossed her purse onto the passenger seat and then slid into her car. “God, how stupid could I be?” She gripped the steering wheel, twisting it in her hands as she tried to get her anxiety under control. It took longer than she thought, the Darkness still inside of her fueling her rage, urging her to seek revenge, strike Nicole down before she could run off to Cherise. Closing her eyes, Selina gritted her teeth, tamping down the anger pumping through her. Finally, she slipped the key into the ignition, fired up her car, and backed out of the parking lot. Within a couple of minutes, she was heading back home, the Darkness a dull roar in her mind.
