Bab 53: New User of the Soulmate App

Alexis had enough time to think about whether or not to reveal her secrets to Liam when Natalia was on her phone. Liam was a good guy and he was also Natalia's boyfriend. So even if he was to deny her for letting her use his space for practice, Alexis thought that he could keep her secret. It would be easy to Natalia as well; she could speak freely to him without having to hide anything.

"Yes, I have decided that I will tell him about my powers. Even if he does not allow us to use his space, I think he deserves to know. He keeps hanging around with us and keeping him out of the loop is quite hard."

Natalia immediately agreed to what Alexis had said, "I know, right? It's so hard to keep a secret, esp. when you are keeping it from your boyfriend."

Natalia was obviously happy about this because she had always been scared to talk to him openly thinking she would slip the secret by mistake.

Natalia was still going through her phone from C-31. And Alexis noticed that Natalia was opening her Soulmate app instead of Contacts. So she asked her with curious eyes, "Does Liam also have Soulmate app?"

"Yes, finally I can use the Soulmate app to its fullest." Natalia smiled and continued, "After he talked with Vorian, he was impressed with how real the conversation felt so he got the cell phone delivered to him this morning."

Natalia was very excited to finally be able to use the 'Project' feature of her Soulmate app. But all of a sudden, Natalia furrowed her brows and exclaimed, "Vorian! He is slowly impressing everyone close to me and he is taking over."

Alexis could not help but laugh at this remark of Natalia. "Come on Nat! Don't be so jealous of him. He is very friendly that's all."

Natalia sneered and whispered, "I guess he is friendly."

Natalia first sent a text message to Liam to warn him that she was not alone. "Hey Liam, I'm at Alexis's room. We have something to discuss with you. I'm sending a 'Project request' to you. Do accept."

And she quickly gave a thrilled look to Alexis and asked her, "Are you ready?"

After Alexis nodded, Natalia sent the Project request and started the countdown, "Liam will be here in 3… 2… 1…"

The girls looked around but did not see any sign of Liam. Natalia tapped on the screen of her cell phone and shouted, "What happened? Why isn't it working?"

Alexis peeked into Natalia's cell phone and slapped her softly on the back of her head. "He has not accepted the request yet you idiot."

"Oh! Okay." Natalia kept on staring at the screen without even blinking. She was even holding her breath awkwardly while waiting for Liam to accept the request.

Alexis was closely staring at Natalia and she scoffed, "Don't forget to breathe Nat."

Natalia exhaled the breath and she started to blush. Alexis had never seen Natalia like this. But before she could tease Natalia any further, Liam popped up in the room.

Liam was sweating and panting when he appeared. Then when he saw Natalia suspiciously staring at him, he immediately blurted out, "Hey guys! I'm sorry I took some time to accept the request. I was outside of my apartment so I ran back in and accepted it as soon as I entered inside my room."

"Mhmm…" Natalia was still giving him a deadly stare.

So, to make things less weird, Alexis immediately got to her point. "Hey! Liam, actually I wanted to talk to you about something. And I think it is better if you take a seat first."

Liam looked around and saw a chair that was in front of the personal computer. Then he dashed forward to sit on it.

Alexis tried to warn him and she shouted, "No…" but it was already too late.

Liam passed right through the chair and landed on the floor with a loud thud. "Ouch! My back…"

Natalia, who was angry a few moments ago, was now laughing very loudly when she saw Liam fall on the floor. She was hitting Alexis as she laughed and was banging her feet on the floor.

Alexis felt sorry for Liam. She gave an awkward smile and stuttered, "Er… I- I didn't mean that seat… I meant something which is- is in your room, well if- if you can figure out where it is… without seeing." Then she glared at Natalia, who was still hitting her and laughing, and signaled her to stop.

Liam had managed to find his own chair back in his room and had settled by now. He ran his fingers through his blonde hair to adjust them and said, "This will take some time to get used to."

Natalia was clasping her lips with her hand and was trying hard not to laugh out loud. Still her shoulder was moving up and down as she was still chuckling.

Alexis was starting to get agitated by Natalia and she spoke from between her teeth, "Nat, can we get serious now?"

Natalia immediately cleared her throat and said, "Sorry! Please… carry on." Then she waited for Alexis to speak.

But Alexis mouthed at Natalia, "Help me out!" Alexis didn't know how to start saying her secrets and from where to start.

Natalia was now in a serious mode. She started by saying, "Remember how I told you Alexis has changed and sometimes I feel scared of her?"

Liam nodded his head while Alexis was surprised by this statement of Natalia, "She was scared of me? But even I was scared of myself, so can't really blame her", she thought.

Natalia explained everything to Liam. How Alexis used to be bullied; how she had almost died but how her body fought hard and unlocked Alexis's blocked powers; how she was the one in that video which was circulated all over the media saying she was an alien spy; and how she was actually half alien; and she also explained everything regarding Alexis's powers.

After Natalia finished explaining everything to Liam, he was utterly dumbfounded. He didn't move an inch from his chair. He was putting his hand on his chin and was lost in deep thoughts.

"Er… is everything okay Liam?" Natalia was worried that she might have given a huge shock to him.

Liam finally shifted his gaze towards the hole that was still there on Alexis's wall and asked to Alexis, "So, you were the one to put a hole in that wall?"

Alexis was a bit embarrassed and she softly replied, "Yes."

"That is so awesome! You are a living, breathing missile!" Liam was holding his head with both of his hands in amazement.

"What is wrong with these boys?" Natalia thought to herself. She laughed nervously and tried to stop Liam from making some more stupid comments about Alexis, "Well, that's a different way to put it. Anyway, she cannot control her powers as of yet. So we wanted to ask if there is a suitable place in your house in P-2 Street where she can practice her fireworks."

Meanwhile, Alexis could not help but think that Liam and Natalia were made for each other, from the way they talk to the way they behave.

Liam was scratching his chin and was mumbling, "If her power is fire, strength, and things like that… she needs an almost indestructible place to contain her powers. That mean… ah! Yes!"

Liam glanced at the girls and said, "I think I have just a place in my house for you to practice. There is a huge bunker underground that is completely made out of Astrostial. It was made to protect us from missiles and bombs, if a war was to break out. So, that will be perfect."

Alexis was impressed by what he just said. "Whoa! A bunker made out of Astrostial? That is even more perfect. But what about your family, won't they find out if I use it?"

"No, they mostly stay out of town. A droid looks after the house currently. But he does not have access to the bunker so he won't bother you. But hey… I will accompany you both daily or whenever you want to practice, if that is okay with you." Liam was hoping that Alexis would let him witness her powers but could not directly say it.

Alexis was more than happy to find a place and the least she could do was let the owner, Liam, join them. "Are you kidding? It is your house, how can we not include you in the practice? And it would be safe to have you with us in case your other family members arrive."

Natalia was already over the moon with the plan. She was happy that she would get to hang out more with Liam. "Yes, it will be fun. So when are we starting?"

Alexis thought for some time and said, "We have to go to our part-time job in the evening that means the only time we will have is before the Academy. How about we do the practice from 7 AM to 9 AM before the classes?"

"7 AM?" Natalia exclaimed on top of her voice. "When are we getting up? At midnight?"

Alexis tried to calm Natalia down, "Oh don't be so dramatic. We can get up at 6 or 6:30 and meet in front of his house. Come on, it will be fun."

Natalia was not exactly a morning person but she didn't want to miss her chance to spend more time with Liam. "Alright, if you say so."

Liam was also equally excited about their morning plan, "Great! Let's meet in front of P-2 Street at exactly 6:55 AM. See you both tomorrow."

"Sure" Alexis smiled at Liam and was very grateful towards him for accepting the 'new her' and also allowing her to use his place to test her powers.

"See you tomorrow" Natalia shouted at Liam as she disconnected the projection.

Both Alexis and Natalia were very excited for tomorrow to arrive. They had so many things to do - Practicing, going to the academy, going to the Harper's, and trying to gather information about the Raider 01.

When the two girls were excitedly chatting and laughing, PIA interjected in between in her serious robotic tone, "If you two have nothing vital to discuss right now, I have something important that I need to report to you."
