Bab 269: Unconscious Consciousness

The war was something that could have been avoided if King Thress had just let go of the throne that wasn't his in the first place. Blood that was shed could have been prevented and everyone wouldn't have seen Seth's true nature. The worst of it was the fight with Sek. That was something that Seth had wanted to avoid at all costs.

Now, in a state of comatose, akin to floating in space yet conscious, Seth was surrounded by darkness. His eyes were closed but his mind was active. All the while that he had been here, the battle replayed in his memory again and again. An ache that was mental yet he could feel it was ever-present. He yearned for Ruby in a way that he had never yearned for her before. He regretted what he had done to the Red Kingdom and even to Ling.
