AUBREY IMMEDIATELY JOLTS UP FROM HER BED WITH SWEAT ON HER FORHEAD. Her hands reach up into her hair to rub on her scalp, so as to ease the pulsing headache she feels. A sigh escapes her lips when her mind reflects on the troubling and silly dream she just had.

Then, she suddenly sits up when she feels something in her left palm. She looks down at the clenched fist, opening it up slowly to see black ash sitting there. A gasp leaves her lips when she remembers it from her dream—
