Bab 99: Chapter 99

“I’m gay.” And then, in a rush, “But I’m still the same guy, I swear, so you don’t have to treat me different or anything, okay? Is that…okay? Are we okay, Henry?”

The fear of judgement on Luke’s face made his blood boil. Henry wanted to burn down those in the world that would make his teddy bear of a friend afraid of being who he really was. There was nothing in the world Henry could think of that would bother him less than his best friend being gay, and he flung his arms around him.

“Of course, we’re okay,” he said. “We’re better than okay. Closer than ever now.”

Up until that point, Henry never really questioned his own sexuality. He knew he was attracted to girls and so he considered himself straight.

It wasn’t until that following year, when he realized he had a crush on Jeremey, a boy in the play he was in, that he might not be as straight as he previously thought.
