It had been a couple of years since Edgar had felt so tired, not since he served as Lady Abigail's personal guardian and retired from the service of the Kingsguard. A prolonged combat against an enemy that seems endless can be really exhausting for an old man like him. Even when you were a fit young man, it was exhausting; perhaps the current Kingdom Marshal, Axel Halheimer, would be able to better handle this situation.

Old age caught up with the ancient hero and took its toll on his movement. But even now, his every move killed numerous undead, his swordplay flawless as ever. Ordinary mortals couldn't follow his progress.

Sitting on his trusty warhorse named Roche, no one could get in his way. Behind him, his faithful squire stared at his back.
