Bab 33: The West
[Could it be? Another jape? Or just a regular chapter? Who could possibly know!?]
(PS: sorry for taking down the last 3 chapters. I had to change something that I thought wouldn't go well with the story in the future. Anyway, as an apology take a few extra chapters and get ready for the future grand finaly of volume 1!)
Waking up with a massive headache, Mizuki stood up from her bed.
'Hoochie mama that hurts.'
Seconds after thinking something that Dr*ke would say, multiple scenes of carnage flashed before Mizuki's eyes.
"*Hurk*"
Trying now to throw up with all her might, she realized that the spell she placed on her soul has dissipated.
Making a recreation as fast as she could, her eyes turned calm behind the tears as she held in her afternoon snacks.
Lowering her mask while wiping away her tears along with the substance exiting her mouth, Mizuki calmly sat down at her desk.
'I should edit the magic circle a little to keep it from dissipating like that. Best option would be to have it passivly gather mana. Although that would be hard considering the fact that the ocean surrounding here drains it all.'
Mizuki replaced her mask on her face.
Continuing with her line of thought the door to her cabin slightly opened as Natyr walked inside with a wet towel and a cup of tea.
Narrowing her eyes, Mizuki looked Natyr straight in the eyes.
"Ah! Captain I see you have awoken. Is your body healthy?"
"I am fine, everything is smooth. Why do you ask?"
"You have been well.. basically dead for the last few days."
"Explain."
"Well.. approximately 6 days ago when you entered your quarters, there was not a single sign of you for a day straight. Eric thought that something could have happened so I entered after knocking for a while, the men did not take a single step inside I assure you."
"Continue."
"I had found you lying on your bed unconscious. You did not awnser no matter how many times I called out so I approached and checked you pulse and breath but there was no response, so I had thought the worst had happened. Without you our chances of survival out here diminish by a great amount. The best solution to avoid mass panic and any escape attempts from the imprisoned that I could think of was to act asthough you have fallen ill due to the constant drainage of mana we had endured back down south. I have been acting as though you have been giving commands through me as a sort of right hand. Since yesterday, suspicions have arised and it has been troublesome without your constant threatening aura keeping the beasts away."
"Hmm... Good job keeping the peace. Have the frozen patches in the hull been making problems."
"None. It seems the spell you cast on the ship also works on the ship. It had fully repaired 4 days ago."
"Good. Where are we in comparison to the southern continent?" Mizuki asked.
"Since your last orders were to sail towards the nearest landmass, we are currently a few kilometers away from a nearby port city in the western continent."
"The west does not hold any draining mana, correct?"
"That is correct captain."
"Great. What about the imprisoned."
"Not many signs of movement or plotting. Speaking of whitch, we gave them a barrel of food from below deck so they do not starve to death, I do hope that was not a wrong decision."
"It's fine. You may take your leave. If anyone has any suspicions you can send them here."
"Understood captain."
After Natyr took her leave, Mizuki rubbed her eyes while thinking.
'Bloodline Infusion sure does have a pretty bad backlash, I do hope that I will not be in a state of death after every use of the skill.'
Thinking about it, Mizuki looked at all the notifications that had appeared during her unconcsious days.

Inspecting a few things in the system, Mizuki found the ranking used for bloodlines after a few minutes.
[Ranking used for bloodlines:
Common: A bloodline with less than 2% purity. Extremely weak and hard to cultivate without external help.
Uncommon: A bloodline with at least 7% purity. Weak and difficult to cultivate.
Rare: A bloodline with at least 13% purity. Slightly weaker than the avaredge High Elf. Cultivation difficulty normal and good potential.
Royal: A bloodline with at least 32% purity. The reachable peak of humans. Simple to cultivate and with great potential.
Legendary: A bloodline with at least 60% purity. Extremely rare. The average of the common Dragon. Easy to cultivate and with Extremely good potential.
Epic: A bloodline with at least 84% purity. A one in a billion find. Most likely a direct decendant of a race progenitor. Amazing potential but difficult to cultivate.
Myth: A bloodline with 100% purity. Mostly held by high gods and progenitors of a race. Potential is near immesurable but cultivation is impossible due to the perfection of the bloodline being reached.
Unique: A bloodline fusion of 2 or more different types of blood, both at 100% purity. Only ? entities within the multiverse have ever reached this stage. There is no known limit to potential. They are granted special privileges by the system.]
'How interesting.' Mizuki thought.
'Well that should be enough about bloodlines for now.'
Taking a book from her inventory and opening it, Mizuki started to read with interest.
The cover read: [Records of Sea Creatures and Where to Find Them]
'Hoo.. there are quite a few interesting things written here.' Mizuki thought while reaching page 27 with her thoughts wondering to a certain imprisoned mermaid.

'Dammit, she's back.'
This was the thought that ran through Hinami's mind as a supressing aura returned to the ship and the spell containing her and her crew strengthened.
'Wait..'
Recognizing a part of the aura, Hinami felt suprised. More suprised than she has felt during her tens of years on the sea.
'... Is that..... my family?..'
