Bab 134: Troublemaker

For the next few days, Mike was staying home when the rest of the team was traveling around. He didn’t complain about it. He even tried to diplomatically avoid them during breakfast time every morning.

In reality, he was taking extremely high doses of painkillers and anti-inflammatory medication. As soon as he put his foot on the floor and tried to walk around for a few minutes, his ankle swelled to an unbelievable size.

The fact worried him, but he refused to admit that this time he had bent over and had to lay down, so he didn’t protest at all. He spent most of the days in bed, usually doing something meaningless as his brain didn’t really work after so much medication.

He didn’t protest when the nurse came and changed his dressings every day. Nor did he protest when a few days later, Martin took him for an X-ray and a blood vessel scan.
