She couldn't help but notice how the three of them had dark red eyes that almost matched Kieran's but Kieran's were even darker and perhaps the darkest she had ever seen. 

The lady came forward all smiles and hugs towards Kieran. "How have you been dear?"

But Kieran evaded by wrapping his second hand on Clarissa's. 

"I've been well Martha and it's your majesty." 

Her eyes showed nothing but the kindness it radiated as she stepped back. She hadn't missed how close Kieran stood to the girl in front of them. "That is very good."

"You've been ignoring all the letters we sent!" the older man said heatedly. 

The lady gave the man a sharp look and still yet managed to keep that look of pure goodness. But he simply rolled his eyes.
