Bab 57: Chapter 57: Fallout in the Light of Day

The following afternoon, Blake surveyed the damage in the light of day. It was heartbreaking, but he felt renewed hope as he considered Shasta’s partnership in the lodge. With her help, they’d be back in business sooner than if they depended solely on insurance. It might be a week or two before an adjuster could make the trip all the way out to their neck of the woods.

Jackie and Shasta had been working all morning, making phone calls and drawing up plans for what would be the new and improved Lake Miranda Lodge. Scott was thrilled with the idea of a bunkhouse for his wilderness clients and was making arrangements for his first group to start in January.

Hearing the crunch of gravel, Blake turned to see Ned’s police cruiser pulling into the front of the lodge. He greeted the lawman warmly. “Ned, how are you? Thanks again for coming out last night.”
