Bab 137: Justice

"Today, we will hold an audience in court. How do I look? I think the maids did a fabulous job of hiding the bump. Don't you agree?" Beatrice seemed elated. 

Clancy still had no idea why her Mistress was so excited. It was just another day in Castle Fenway. There were no celebrations, balls, or feasts scheduled. 

"I think the maids did a fabulous job of hiding it, Your Majesty." She agreed. 

Just as she did, the same two maids entered via the servant's entrance. They were not in their usual maid's attire. Each one wore a black Judge's robe. One maid stood beside Clancy.

Clancy was nervous. What was going on?

Beatrice spoke, "I have asked everyone to wear this for today's ceremony." She informed her.

The maid gave her the robe and assisted Clancy in putting it on. 

"You look perfect." Compliments Beatrice. "Now, Let us go to court." She said, and the three women escorted her to the throne room.
