Bab 169: Chapter 70

Brightly lit narrow corridors, scant few stoic men shifting around and a grim atmosphere clouding the minds of everyone. The long mettalic chair is as uncomfortable as ever an unecessary headache added to my current one. But these days all I have are headaches.

Across me is Austin, recovered or escaped from the men that took him, I'm not sure which because no one tells me anything anymore, and not just because I've lost my ears, Fawn. He's got on a small frown staring at the messages popping in every now and then. From the looks of it, his restless leg and sweaty palms, he's running a mission right now.

A losing one by the sounds of his pained grunts. It's been like this all week, they're hitting hard…harder even. Vertigo and Letharguy thirst after us so much they're willing to team up with Lynx.
