Bab 102: Chapter 3

Left foot, left foot, right foot, left foot, parry, block, dodge, dodge, dodge, do-Ow!

"You're far too defensive for a supervillain, Vern." She winces with me, pulling her fist away as I clutch my nose.

"Yeah, but I don't see many Supervillains go on with hand-to-hand combat."

Jogging in place, waiting for me to recover she asks, "And what about Link? Forgot about him because you don't see often?"

I scoff, "I'm not even meant to be here with you right now, and Link is a tank, he runs through things and people without pause, that's not hand-to-hand combat. That's a one sided beating."

She chuckles, fists raised once more, "Ready?"

I groan but nod and she springs out at me, her left reaching for my head. I duck under and swipe under her feet but she sees this and side steps. She doesn't dawdle and continues her offense, jumping straight at me, her leg pulled back for a kick to my exposed abdomen.
