Bab 43: Intense Battle
Ameria and Alina stared at each other as the match began, as though they were waiting for one of them to attack first.
Ameria spun her nunchaku and dashed at Alina.
Alina didn't know what to do and tried to block the attack by moving Bo spear in front of her.
The nunchaku hit the spear, and both Alina and Ameria were pushed backward.
Alina swung the spear between her fingers, but it slipped and fell to the ground.
"...."
"She doesn't know how to use it, does she?" Nier asked with a concerned look on her face.
"Nope." Ziro sighed in disbelief and continued, "She only knows sword fighting."
"Then she should have chosen the sword as her weapon," Nier remarked.
"She probably knew that spears are a good defense against nunchaku, so she chose it. And knowing her, she is an idiot, so I am sure she hadn't thought of how she is going to use it."
"Typical Alina. She has always been like that."
"Yeah," Ziro chuckled and continued, "But that's why I love her."
The fight continued for five minutes, but neither Ameria nor Alina were giving up. However, Ameria was having the upper hand in winning as Alina had lost most of her stamina by running and dodging Ameria attacks.
"Who do you think will win?" Nier asked curiously.
After a brief moment, Ziro uttered, "I honestly don't care who wins. I will be happy if Alina wins, but I won't be sad if she loses."
"Why?"
"If she wins, then she will have to fight another opponent. Maybe against you, or Sera, or maybe… me."
"That's true, but if she is trying so hard to win, then you should at least cheer for her," Nier commented.
"There is no need for me to cheer her as she already knows I am watching her. And I am sure she will win this match," Ziro asserted with a confident smile on his face.
Nier raised her brows and scoffed: "Even though you are saying that, you look worried."
"Shut up," Ziro muttered.
Nier grinned and hugged Ziro with a smirk on her face.
"You are so cute!"
Ziro didn't stop Nier from hugging him, nor did he push her aside after she hugged him.
Nier moved her face close to Ziro's ears and whispered, "How do my breasts feel, big bro?"
Ziro's ears twitched as he heard that, but he didn't react.
Nier waited for Ziro to say something in reply, but he stood there quietly and watched the match.
However, Nier didn't let go of Ziro and kept hugging him.
SIGH!
Ziro let out a deep sigh and muttered, "We are in a game; everything is fake, an illusion. So if you want to hear my thoughts on your breasts, then you need to let me feel them in the real world."
Nier's face flushed after hearing Ziro's reply. She smirked and said, "You naughty big bro."
"Shut up," Ziro muttered.
They looked at the match together as the time passed.
Even after 10 minutes, the match was still ongoing.
"Are they going to break the record of the longest match?" Nier wondered.
Ameria pushed Alina with her hand and kicked her in the stomach before jumping on top of her with a nunchaku in her hand.
"Uh oh. It seems Alina is going to lose."
Ziro started breathing loudly and clenched his fists.
"Are you angry?" Nier asked hesitantly.
"As long as it stays in the game, it's fine," Ziro answered. "But if someone harms my Alina without any reason, even if it's a game, I won't forgive them."
Alina plunged the spear into the ground and used it to jump over Ameria. Then, she simply poked Ameria, and she was out of the ring.
"She won!" Nier exclaimed in excitement.

PHEW!
Ziro sighed in relief and finally hugged Nier back.
"Are you happy?" Nier asked the obvious question.
"Yeah."
"I have my match soon. And if I win, you will have to do one thing as I say, promise?"
"As long as it's nothing related to our relationship," Ziro nodded in acknowledgment.
Nier opened her menu and entered the arena.
Kevin and Kiana were standing at some distance from Ziro. However, Kiana was watching Ziro and Nier getting extra touchy.
"What's wrong? Why are you staring at Ziro like that?" Sera asked.
"It's nothing," Kiana replied.
"Are you wondering why Nier was hugging and touching him like that?"
Kiana's eyes widened in surprise as she raised her brows and asked with a curious look on her face: "How did you know?"
"It was just a guess," Sera answered with a mischievous smile on her face.
"So? Are you going to tell me something?" Kiana asked curiously.
"Do you want to know what Nier and Ziro's relationship is?"
"Yes," Kiana nodded.
"They are…"
"They are?"
"They are cousins," Sera answered with a shrug.
Kiana squinted her eyes and muttered, "Still, it's not normal for cousins to have skinship like that."
Sera scoffed and shrugged: "Every household has its own systems."
"I suppose you are right," Kiana argued.
"But how are you going to explain your skinship with Ziro?" Kiana added.
Sera's face turned pale as she gulped down.
"I remember Alina telling me that you are her teacher at school. But that's even more immortal," Kiana remarked.
"The thing is… I am his big sister."
Kiana furrowed her brows and uttered, "But judging by the way he acted when he first saw you in the game before the dungeon raid, it doesn't seem like—"
"I live alone." Sera interrupted and continued, "That's why he didn't know that I also play this game. And as for me acting closely with him, It is normal for an older sister to mess and tease her little brother, right?"
"I guess… so."
"Do you also have a little brother?" Sera asked curiously.
"I had one," Kiana answered. "He would be about Ziro's age if he was alive."
"Oh, I am so sorry. I didn't—"
"It's fine. Don't worry about it."
