"Now we can talk."

After Valencia said so, only silence remained, with both Xiao and Valencia just looking at each other. Valencia was silent because, well, she didn't know how to begin. Finally, after a minute of silence, Xiao spoke.

"How about we become friends?"

"Friends?" Valencia replied with doubt in her voice. She never cared about the word 'friends.' Her talent was enough to make any living being in the cosmos jealous. She knew it was just a matter of time before she would one day stand at the top of the world, but she wasn't arrogant enough to believe that she could achieve things alone.
