After an unknown period, as Abuke gazed at a heap of shabby undead creatures capable only of mouth movements, a thought suddenly struck him, "How can they not be shattered?"

This was the first proactive thought of Abuke's existence. He was no longer a spiritual body acting out of instinct, but an intelligent undead being.

After that, the bodies pushed down were caught by Abuke; they no longer broke into pieces, and slowly, there were more active undead creatures beneath the abyss.
