Bab 49: Kill the Betrayer!

Fiyah places the golden butt of his sword's sheath on Dela's forehead, transferring a section of his powers to her. And just like that, he makes Dela his Guardian, giving her the amazing, unbeatable, "rank 5" god, Fire powers.

Her flames burned a beautiful green and gold, like the colour of her eyes.

… 

Now, born anew as Dela, the Immortal, what will she do with her new powers?

Would she turn against the Council's Keepers who gave her her powers and instead help Gorak in this impossible battle?

Risk getting captured along with him, not to mention, annoy the gods who gave her her powers and get on the bad side of the entire Keepers Council...

Lose her freedom, lose her newfound powers and possibly even lose her Immortality???

Heh. No way. 

The obvious smart option would be to fight on the winning team to defeat Gorak to retain her Immortality!

Gorak would have to take the fall. Surely, he would understand...
