Bab 117: Poor Trust

Heck decided to go see Uncle Ted, wanting to tell him about the well suddenly running dry. He was at a loss as to what he wanted to say in detail, but most importantly Uncle Ted had to know.

"What is it?" Uncle Ted's burly body poked through the door. His casual attire, a stump-sleeved T-shirt he got from military training, clung to his body. His legs were strong even though he was limping on one side. "Why did you call me? Is there any problem?"

All the adults looked doubtful. Maybe they thought this betrayed Daniel or accused Uncle Ted of his upbringing. It could also be the impression of criticism raised to the surface. But they had to say it now before they encountered another strange thing and failed to prepare.

"It's about the old well that we pulled water from earlier," said Heck. His plump hand rose and pointed at the wall. The wound howled, hitting the outside of the well which seemed to let out a long hiss.
