Bab 120: She Came Back Part 1

Jinn thumps his head against Sally's back. As if it might bring him energy, Jinn fills his lungs with as much oxygen he can - which is only dribs and drabs - and holds his breath. 

One. 

Two.

Three.

Letting go with a soft smack of his opening lips, Jinn releases the breath. Another rush of air filters into Jinn before Jinn expels it.

The third time Jinn repeats his bodily meditation, the air he inhales carries the alarming stench of acid. Although the scent is faint within Jinn's suit, there is no doubt that the sky will start hailing acid pebbles.

Jinn pales and looks up to the sky. Imagining his suit gaining millions of perforated, burning holes that melt into his skin, Jinn bears the phantom pain he may truly experience. 

Slowly but surely, luminescent red and green drops plunge from the clouds. The first splashes onto the head of Jinn's suit. It sizzles.
