She was mad, that is the truth.
But she was not only mad at Beatrice who lied to her.
Not only mad at Slate who was too weak minded that he was tricked just like that.
But mad at herself for being too naive.
She trusted Beatrice that she would help Slate.
She left him to Beatrice when she could have called Eduard and Anna for help instead.
She was definitely mad at herself for not knowing what better to do in their situation.
She only snapped at her thoughts when Slate held her hand, she ended up facing him.
"Don't blame yourself for anything. I can see that you are doing just that."
He haven't started what he wanted to say but before he could, he could tell that she wasn't listening.
And somehow understood just what it was that was going on in her mind.
"I should have been stronger, I should have realized that something wrong was going on with her treatment. I am not the only one hurting."
