Bab 44: Chapter 44: Time For Myself

The realization made her question the life she had lived all this time. The worth pf the time that she had spent.
And the question of what was fun for her made it even more hateful for her.
After that day, she had closed the curtain, added another just so the light won't pass through. She was beyond devastated upon learning that she was meant to live her life within this mansion.
'In the end, why was it there? Why was the light shown to me and made me curious. Why is this window connected to a different world than mine? Why was I played just like that?'
This questions kept going on in her mind as she started closing off that place once again. She didn't want to see anymore of that light. She didn't want to see that colorful world.
If she was meant to live in this monotonous world. In a world of black and white, then she will play out her role.
She will live here and stay here for the rest of the life that she has.
She will no longer try new things or want something more. She will keep to herself and just act like she normally does.
It was difficult at first but she has nothing now, the realization was something that reality had just slapped her with.
There is no point in dreaming for more.
It is better to live life like this.
At times she would actually hear the knocks from the outside but she had ignored it.
It is better that she hears or sees nothing of it.

SLate returned to see her struggle in the keyboard.
"What are you doing?" he asked as he placed down the groceries, since he was sent out he could only do what he had said he would do.
"Where's Scarlet?" he followed seeing Scarlet not around.
"She is asleep," Amethyst sighed before closing the laptop and standing up.
"I need to tell you something," she approached him even helped him in organizing the groceries.
"What?" he asked.
"I'll take some time off so you should probably call for your caretaker for the time being," she said without going around the bush.
His movements stopped upon hearing this, "I am not stopping you from taking some time off. But is there any problem? Did she cause you any problem?"
"Your sister didn't do anything. I just need sometime for my self," she actually paused before saying 'myself'.
He furrowed his brows upon hearing this, the two of them, Scarlet and her, were somehow arguing a while ago and now she was taking some time off? What's more she said it has nothing to do with Scarlet. So why was she saying this now?
"I'll return but just a bit of time for myself nad I will be able to really return. So, could you tell her instead of me?" she looked at him seriously and asked.
His frown deepened upon hearing her ask him to tell Scarlet instead of herself.
"Why can't you tell her yourself?" he asked.
She smiled, "Please?"
She didn't give her reason and just asked him to do it for her.
He could only sigh seeing as she was adamant on not saying anything.
"Do as you please."
It was a voice that is a bit colder than his usual tone, even he was actually shocked that he would use such tone towards her.
Amethyst shrugged off the tone he had used because it felt as if he was mad she wasn't saying everything to him.
She knew that was impossible and that is why she could brush it off.
"I'm going then," she said before turning to leave.
Slate didn't say anything and just let her leave.

Amethyst didn't plan to stay in her unit for what she wants to do, instead before the dawn could even break the next morning, she had already left.
She was planning to go to Sagada.
It was in Mountain Province area and has a lot of trees, much more than what was in baguio.
It was a place where people who wants silence could spend their time with the nature.
Though her destination is still a bit farther than Sagada.
Besao, Mountain Province.
Most houses were clustered in barangays. ANd only a few households were in it that every barangay was actually thirty minutes away from one another.
By car.
Trees and mountains were the ones in between that someone who truly wants to stay away from the city could spend their time in there.
The signal wasn't that great but it was passable.
Though because it was only a pass, sometimes no one would have a lot of difficulties to contact you.
And within Besao, Amethyst got the chance to have a house in it.
It happened back when she was high school, when she met someone in her part time job that she was able to get a house in here.
Though it took her a while before she was able to buy it.
The house wasn't a mansion or anything, it was a simple one.
A bungalow with a small front yard.
She wanted to leave by night but didn't expect she has too little things that she needs to buy some on the road.
As she was leaving, she looked back at the building where their units are.
'When I return, I will be able to help you better. I will make sure that you will be able to watch your story end. You will get the chance to read it as a whole.'

"She what?" Scarlet was shock the next morning when she saw the caretaker.
SHe didn't thought about it last night when Slate woke her up to eat. Because she thought that Amethyst had just gone home.
But now, Slate had told her that Amethyst asked for a bit of time for herself.
"Is she okay?" she couldn't help but ask.
She couldn't help but to think back at what they talked about yesterday.
She couldn't find anything amiss about it.
"She must have went to check something, she didn't explain it to me either," Slate shrugged.
"Aren't you worried?" Scarlet couldn't help but ask.
"Why would I? She is old enough to take care of herself," was his answer.
"I am checking on her," Scarlet started wheeling herself outside the house.
"She is not around. I forgot to get the key from her last night to give to the caretaker and when I knocked this morning, no one was in."
Scarlet could only pout at this, Amethyst doesn't seem to be having problems yesterday so why did she suddenly decided to leave?
"Anyway, I am off to work. Make sure to eat and drink your medicine," Slate said his goodbye before leaving.
After he left, something clicked in Scarlet's mind.
"The key with Amethyst is another extra. There are four copies. Why would he suddenly look for her for the fourth copy when he has the third?"
She couldn't help but smile, SLate must not have been able to say everything from last night before Amethyst departed making him go over the next morning.
'At the same time, he must have been worried as well. But still didn't realize it himself.'
She could only shake her head, his younger brother is experiencing something new that he didn't realize what was going on.
