Bab 2: Cooter
My face feels wet when I wake up. I open my eyes to find a slobbering wolf looking down at me. It licks me again and I try to push its face away but it seems to be futile. After the wolf has its fun I finally can get up. I look up at the sky to see weirdly that there are two different colored suns in the sky. One looks relatively normal while the other is smaller and a dark red. Noticing the different suns it sinks in that I'm in a different world. Now looking at the wolf it seems to be a lot bigger than usual it's about the same size as a car. I guess this world's animals are built different. It seemed pretty docile so I decided to let it sniff my hand assuming it was like a canine. Instead of sniffing my hand, it put its head underneath it, I guess asking to be petted so naturally I obliged.

The words spoke into my head slightly disorienting me. I take a moment to collect myself and begin to formulate my questions.
"You're the system that I got from God right?"
[Yes, I was made to help the host in navigating this world as well as helping you to repopulate the beast race.]
"Could you explain what exactly is included in the beast race?" I wanted to know exactly what kind of creatures I'd be dealing with.
[Essentially, the majority of the races that aren't human fall into the race of beasts. Some examples range from kobolds to dragons. However, there are some exceptions such as slimes or demons.]
It would seem I have my work cut out for me. "Am I able to see information on creatures as well as myself?"
[Yes, to do so you simply focus on the target you want and think 'status'.]
I do what the system says on the wolf in front of me.

It was kind of surprising that his level was 45 despite being only one year old. The most shocking discovery however was that its name was Cooter. In my previous life the name of my dog that died was Cooter. What made it even weirder was that the day I died was a year after my dog died. This can't just be a coincidence can it, the time matched up too perfectly.
[Host, it is not possible for this wolf to be a reincarnation of the dog from your previous life. In the reincarnation cycle for human souls the process is much faster compared to the one for animals even a year is not enough time for an animal soul to assimilate.]
So it really was just a coincidence, well, nothing I can do about it. I decided to take a look at my status.

Looking at my status I have two immediate questions. "What is size talking about? " I saw this on Cooter's status but didn't want to ask if it wasn't on mine.
[Size refers to the penile length or in other cases the size of the reproductive organ.]
That's a little weird but at the same time, it kind of makes sense. Knowing the size will let me somewhat prepare beforehand. "What is concealment hiding?" The other abilities made sense but concealment was active meaning it was hiding something but I couldn't tell what.
[Currently, Concealment - lvl.1 is hiding the host's tail and ears. In this world, the low population of beasts and Demi-humans is due to the involvement of humans. If a beast or Demi-human is spotted by a human they will either be killed or captured as a slave. Mostly the ones that are turned into slaves are the females which is why the population is declining even further. After learning magic you will be able to activate this ability manually. This ability will passively turn off during sexual arousal.]
Letting the information soak in I plan my next move. All things aside my first priority is to find somewhere to sleep as well as something to eat.
"Is there someplace nearby where I can eat and sleep," I ask the system in my head.
[To answer the first question for easier repopulation purposes God made it so that you do not need to eat to survive, however, you will need to sleep to replenish your energy. For the second I suggest that you meet your first partner to begin repopulation sooner.]
God must really be stressed to put me so close to a beast race at the start. "So, what kind of beast race is it." I kinda hoped for a humanoid one to start with. It'd be a lot easier to bang if we could communicate.
[It's the father of this wolf. They are the are the last of their kind.]
"So how do I get there?"
[Using detection you are able to find any beast or Demi-human location. However, for this situation I suggest letting your familiar take you there. Doing it this way will likely allow for an easier conversation with the Father]
I looked at the wolf that was sitting down in front of me with its tongue out and tail wagging. I take my right hand and put it on the side of his face and look him in the eyes. They were a deep blue like the ocean and were calm-like. "Do you think you could take me to where you and your father live?" He licked my hand and turned his back to me to crouch. Somehow it seemed he understood me and wanted me to ride on top of him.
[Most beasts have no capability of speaking verbally, however, because he is your familiar as long as you give the intention he will understand what you mean.]
Confirming he understood I get on his back and he starts running to wherever his home is located.
