Barely five minutes after Zeke left from him, Briceus got distracted by a direct knock on his bedroom door. 

'Who could that be?' he mused and diverted his gaze towards the threshold area. 

"Who goes there?"

No answer came but instead he began to hear the slow creaking of his bedroom door. Someone was seemingly too bold to walk into his space like that. The guards? He would much rather dispose of them later for permitting such insolence to happen. 

Briceus waited.

The footsteps kept advancing to the inner parts of his room. He unsheated his sword from an angle on the left and energetically breezed to a spot behind the pillars, set to prey on whoever it was. His eyes coloured with hate as he stayed lurking..
