Bab 122: The Kiss Did Happen - Part 2

When Elizabeth had previously asked for his permission to have her ask him a favor, Briceus had instantly permitted a smile to leap to the sides of his lips. He had done this with zero anticipation that her request should be the kind that he did not want to hear. 

Now that she had blurted that need of hers... the desire to want to return to sleeping alone in her bedroom all too suddenly, the smile which had just now graced the King's precious face, began to waver until it disappeared fully. 

Briceus did not like what she'd said. In his head, her demands were akin to a taboo. 

His greatest desire at this time was to understand what words Agatha had fed her with to allow her to arrive at this decision. Or if the decision to move out of his bedroom already, was borne solely out from her core.
